TECHNICAL FIELD

The present invention relates to a plant and a method for the disposal and recycling of synthetic turf, in particular of synthetic turf from which? previously removed the infill.

PRE-EXISTING TECHNIQUE

Synthetic turfs are known, i.e. made of polymeric material, generally formed by pi? tapes or rectangles of synthetic turf, suitable for use in various uses, such as sports fields or outdoor areas of private homes or other.

When the turf? worn, it is necessary to remove it and consequently to dispose of the tapes or rectangles of which? composed.

For this purpose, plants equipped with tools suitable for grinding the synthetic turf in smaller portions are known. small, in order to make it more? easily transportable and workable.

A problem with known implants? that the polymeric material powder that is produced during grinding, or what? present on the bottom of the synthetic turf, wear the cutting elements of the grinders. In addition, this powder can? adhere to said cutting elements reducing their efficiency.

A need felt in the sector? therefore that of being able to extend the useful life of said grinders and increase their efficiency.

A purpose of the present invention? that of satisfying this need, in the context of a simple, rational and economically advantageous solution.

Such purpose? achieved by the features of the invention reported in the independent claims. The dependent claims outline preferred and / or particularly advantageous aspects of the invention.

EXPOSURE OF THE INVENTION

The invention, in particular, makes available a method for the disposal and recycling of a synthetic turf, comprising the following steps:

- grinding the synthetic turf in portions of a first predetermined size;

- sifting the ground synthetic turf using a screening grid; - grinding the synthetic turf which does not cross the said screening grid in portions of a second predetermined measure which? less than the first predetermined measure.

Thanks to this solution? It is possible to eliminate the dust that would wear and reduce the efficiency of the machine used for the second grinding phase.

Also like this? It is possible to obtain portions of ground synthetic turf, more? small, therefore more? easily workable and transportable, with respect to known methods.

The synthetic turf treated in the method? a synthetic turf without infill inside, or to which? previously removed the infill. In other words ? It is possible to say that the method may comprise the step of removing the infill from the synthetic turf before the step of grinding the synthetic turf into portions of a first predetermined size.

An aspect of the invention further provides that the method may comprise the step of screening the synthetic turf ground in the second predetermined size by means of a screening grid.

In this way, eliminating any new plastic dust produced during grinding in portions of a second predetermined size,? It is possible to obtain a product free from dust, which, not being recyclable, constitutes only a pollutant.

The method can? furthermore it comprises a subsequent phase (which may be subsequent to the second grinding or to the second screening) of separating filaments of the synthetic turf from a carpet of the synthetic turf ground in the second predetermined extent, said phase comprising the following sub-steps:

- place the ground synthetic turf in the second predetermined size above a perforated plate (through holes) placed in vibration

- generate a flow of air that passes through the holes in the plate going from the bottom upwards in such a way as to raise at least part of the ground turf with respect to the perforated plate,

- generating, by means of suction, a vacuum above the perforated plate so as to suck up the filaments of synthetic turf ground in the second predetermined size.

So ? It is possible to divide the filaments of the synthetic turf from the rest of the turf. Filaments are generally made of a single plastic material, for example polypropylene or EPDM (Ethylene-Propylene Diene Monomer), while the rest of the carpet? made in a mixture of a plurality? of plastics and d? therefore not re-melt unlike filaments, but reusable in other production processes. Therefore the plant allows cos? to recover material that in the known plants would be used simply as filler material inside returns and or other polymeric moldings.

The invention also makes available a plant for the disposal and recycling of a synthetic turf, comprising:

- a primary grinder, configured to grind the synthetic turf in portions of a first predetermined size, equipped with an inlet into which the synthetic turf enters and an outlet crossed by the portions of the first predetermined size;

- a screen, comprising a screening grid and a suction unit, and equipped with an inlet for the ground synthetic turf leaving the primary grinder, a first outlet for the synthetic turf that does not pass through the screening screen and a second outlet, connected to the suction unit, for the material passing through the screening grid; - a secondary grinder, equipped with an inlet located downstream of the first exit of the screen, said secondary grinder being configured to grind the synthetic turf leaving the screen in portions of a second predetermined size which? less than the first predetermined measure.

So ? made available a plant particularly efficient in grinding the synthetic turf in small portions and configured in such a way as to guarantee a long useful life of the plant itself, in particular of the secondary grinder. An aspect of the invention also provides that the plant may comprise a further screen, comprising a screening grid and a suction unit and equipped with an inlet for the ground synthetic turf coming out of the secondary grinder, a first outlet for the synthetic turf that does not pass through the screening grid and a second outlet, connected to the suction unit, for the material that passes through the screening grid.

In this way, the ground synthetic turf, already? previously deprived of said incoherent material, it is again screened by means of the further screen so as to eliminate any new plastic dust produced during the grinding in portions of a second predetermined size.

A further aspect of the invention provides that the plant can comprise a separating machine equipped with a box-shaped body, in which an inlet located downstream of the secondary grinder, a first outlet and a second outlet, of a perforated plate are obtained which divides into two environments an internal volume of the separating machine, of which a first environment which? placed in communication with a blower unit of the separating machine itself, and a second environment which? in communication with the entrance, the first exit and the second exit. Also the separating machine? equipped with a suction unit connected to the second room of the separating machine by means of the second outlet.

So ? It is possible to divide the filaments of the synthetic turf from the rest of the turf. An aspect of the invention also provides that the plant may comprise a conveyor located downstream of the primary grinder and upstream of the screen, said first conveyor being configured to move the synthetic turf ground by the primary grinder at the entrance to the screen and said first conveyor being connected to a suction unit.

BEST WAY TO IMPLEMENT THE INVENTION

The primary grinder 15 can? comprising at least a pair of rotors 16 arranged inside a volume delimited by the casing and configured to grind the synthetic turf. Said rotors 16 are provided with a plurality of of cutting elements, for example known as blades or knives, which protrude radially from a central portion of the rotors themselves with respect to a respective axis of rotation of the rotor itself. In particular, between the rotors of said pair of rotors 16? there is an interspace during which the synthetic turf is ground by the cutting elements of the rotors.

Entrance 20? obtained in a portion of the casing at a higher vertical height than the pair of rotors 16, while the outlet 30? positioned at a lower vertical height than the pair of rotors. The plant 10 also comprises a screen 35, comprising a box-like body equipped with an inlet 40 for the ground synthetic turf leaving the primary grinder 15.

In particular, the plant 10 can? comprising a first conveyor 45 for moving the synthetic turf from the primary grinder 15 to the screen 35. For example, the first conveyor 45? equipped with an inlet opening 50, for example directly connected to the outlet 30 of the primary grinder 15, and an outlet opening 55, for example directly connected to the inlet 40 of the screen 35.

This first conveyor 45 can? comprise a bucket elevator and / or a conveyor belt, configured to move the synthetic turf ground by the primary grinder 15 from the outlet 30 of the primary grinder 15 to the inlet 40 of the screen 35.

The first conveyor 45 can? be connected to a suction unit 60 configured to suck up the dust during transport from the primary grinder 15 to the sieve 35.

The first conveyor 45 can? comprise an external envelope defining a (at least partially) closed environment and through which the synthetic turf ground by the primary grinder 15 is transported, where the suction unit 60? configured to generate a vacuum inside said casing.

The casing of the first conveyor 45 therefore comprises a mouth connected to the suction unit 60.

The sieve 35 particularly comprises a sieve grid 65, arranged inside the box-like body, and equipped with through openings for sifting the synthetic turf ground by the primary grinder 15.

In particular, the screening grid 65, comprising through openings having a diameter between 1 mm and 2 mm, preferably between 1.4 and 1.6 mm, and? for example placed, in use, below the inlet 40 of the box-shaped body of the screen 35.

Preferably said screening grid 65? flat and lies on a substantially horizontal plane.

The box-shaped body of the sieve 35? furthermore equipped with a first outlet 70 for the synthetic turf which does not pass through the screening grid 65 and with a second outlet 75 for a material that passes through the screening grid 65. For example, the material that passes through the screening grid 65 pu? be plastic powder produced during grinding in the primary grinder 15.

The screening grid 65 divides into two environments an internal volume defined by the box-like body of the screen 35, of which a first environment in communication with the inlet 40 and the first outlet 70 of the screen 35, and a second environment in communication with the second output 75 of screen 35. In use, the first environment? placed above the second environment, preferably the first environment and the second environment are adjacent and divided exclusively by the sieve grid 65.

The sieve 35 can? comprise a vibrating assembly (not shown) configured to vibrate the sieve grid 65.

The sieve 35 also comprises a suction unit adapted to generate a depression in the second environment to favor the removal of the sludge from the material being sifted.

In the illustrated embodiment, the suction unit of the screen 35? the suction unit 60 of the first conveyor 45.

The plant 10 also comprises a secondary grinder 80, located downstream of the first outlet 70 of the screen 35 and configured to further grind the synthetic turf previously ground by the primary grinder 15 and screened by the screen 35. In detail, the secondary grinder 80? configured to grind the synthetic turf portions of the first predetermined size into synthetic turf portions of a second predetermined size.

At the outlet of the secondary grinder 80, filaments of the synthetic turf are obtained reduced in portions of the second predetermined size and the carpet of the synthetic turf reduced in portions of the second predetermined size. The secondary grinder 80 comprises a casing equipped with an inlet 85, at which the synthetic turf ground by the primary grinder 15 and screened by the screen 35 is fed.

The casing of the secondary grinder 80? it is also equipped with an outlet 90 crossed by the portions of ground synthetic turf.

The secondary grinder 80 can? comprising at least a pair of rotors 81 arranged inside a volume delimited by the casing and configured to grind the synthetic turf. Said rotors 81 are provided with a plurality of of cutting elements, for example known as blades or knives, which protrude radially from a central portion of the rotors themselves with respect to a respective axis of rotation of the rotor itself.

In particular, between the rotors 81 of said pair of rotors? there is an interspace during which the synthetic turf is ground by the cutting elements of the rotors.

Entrance 85? obtained in a portion of the crankcase at a higher vertical height than the pair of rotors, while the output 90? positioned at a lower vertical height than the pair of rotors. For example, the synthetic turf ground by the secondary grinder 80, or by the rotors 81, falls by gravity? at exit 90.

The secondary grinder 80 can? comprising a suction unit connected to the outlet 90 of the secondary grinder itself and configured to generate a vacuum at said outlet.

The plant 10 also comprises a further screen 95 comprising a box-like body equipped with an inlet 100 for the ground synthetic turf leaving the secondary grinder 80.

In particular, the plant 10 can? comprise a second conveyor 105 for moving the synthetic turf from the secondary grinder 80 to the further screen 95. For example, the second conveyor 105? equipped with an inlet opening 110, for example directly connected to the outlet 90 of the secondary grinder 80, and an outlet opening 115, for example directly connected to the inlet 100 of the further screen 95.

This second transporter 105 can? comprise a bucket elevator and / or a conveyor belt, configured to move the synthetic turf ground by the secondary grinder 80 from the outlet 90 of the secondary grinder 80 to the inlet 100 of the further screen 95.

The second conveyor 105 can? be connected to a suction unit configured to suck up the dust during transport from the secondary grinder 80 to the further screen 95.

The second conveyor 105 can? comprise an external envelope defining a (at least partially) closed environment and through which the synthetic turf ground by the secondary grinder 80 is transported, where the suction unit? configured to generate a vacuum inside said casing.

The casing of the second conveyor 105 therefore comprises a mouth connected to the suction unit.

The plant can it also comprises a suction unit configured to move the synthetic turf, ground by the secondary grinder 80 and present at the outlet 90 of the secondary grinder itself, from the outlet 90 of the secondary grinder 80 to the second conveyor 105.

In an embodiment not shown, the transport of the ground material from the secondary grinder 80 to the further screen 95 takes place solely by means of the suction unit.

Preferably the suction group? the same suction unit 60 as the first conveyor 45 and the screen 35.

The further screen 95 particularly comprises a screening grid 120, arranged inside the box-like body, and configured to screen the synthetic turf ground by the secondary grinder 80.

The screening grid 120, comprising through openings with a diameter of between 1 mm and 2 mm, preferably between 1.4 and 1.6 mm,? for example placed, in use, below the inlet 100 of the box-like body of the further screen 95.

The box-like body of the further screen 95? furthermore equipped with a first outlet 125 for the synthetic turf which does not pass through the screening grid 120 and with a second outlet 130 for a material that passes through the screening grid 120. For example, the material that passes through the screening grid 120 pu? be plastic powder produced during grinding in the secondary grinder 80.

The screening grid 120 divides into two rooms an internal volume defined by the box-like body of the further screen 95, of which a first environment in communication with the inlet 100 and the first outlet 125 of the further screen 95, and a second environment in communication with the second output 130 of the further screen 95. In use, the first environment? placed above the second environment, preferably the first environment and the second environment are adjacent and divided exclusively by the screening grid 120.

The further sieve 95 can? comprise a vibrating assembly configured to vibrate the screening grid 120.

The further screen 95 also comprises a suction unit suitable for generating a depression in the second environment to favor the removal of dust from the material being screened.

For example, the suction unit of the further screen 95 can? coincide with the suction unit 60 of the second conveyor 105 and with the suction unit 60 of the screen 35 and the first conveyor 45.

In other words, therefore, the plant 10 can? comprising a single suction unit 60 connected to the sieve 35, to the further sieve 95, to the first conveyor 45 and to the second conveyor 105 and configured to suck incoherent material in each step of grinding and handling of the synthetic turf.

Furthermore, the sieve 35 and the further sieve 95 can, for example, be shaped in the same way. However, it is not excluded that the sieve 35 and the further sieve 95 may be equipped with different sieve grids and / or may include different suction units.

Each suction group can? comprise a filter assembly configured to retain the sucked dust.

In the illustrated embodiment, the single suction assembly 60 comprises a filtering assembly 135 connected to the sieve 35 and to the further sieve 95 and configured to retain the material passing through the sieve grid 65 of the sieve 35, the sieve grid 120 of the further screen 95 and which is sucked by the first conveyor 45 and by the second conveyor 105.

In particular, therefore, the filtering group 135? in direct communication at least with the second outlet 75 of the sieve 35 and with the second outlet 130 of the further sieve 95, so as to allow the conveyance of incoherent material and / or plastic dust in a zone of the plant 10 separated from the grinders.

The filtration group 135 can? also be equipped with hoppers and / or ducts to direct the sucked powder to a special sorting container, for example in the form of a tank or bag.

The plant 10 also comprises a separating machine 140 located downstream of the secondary grinder 80, or located downstream of the further screen 95, and configured to separate, inside the ground synthetic turf leaving the secondary grinder 80, the shredded filaments of the turf reduced in the second predetermined measure by the rest of the turf, or by the carpet, reduced in the second predetermined measure.

The separating machine 140 comprises a perforated plate 160 which divides an internal volume defined by the box-like body of the separating machine 140 into two rooms, one of which is a first room and a second room.

In particular, the separating machine 140 comprises a blower assembly 165, placed in communication with the first environment of the separating machine itself and configured to generate an overpressure in said first environment.

The inlet 145, the first outlet 150 and the second outlet 155 of the separating machine 140 are, on the other hand, in fluid communication, for example direct, with the second environment of the separating machine itself.

The perforated plate 160 of which? equipped with the separating machine 140, in detail,? equipped with through openings from which a flow of gas under pressure from the blower unit 165 comes out in a direction from bottom to top.

Preferably the perforated plate 160? flat and, for example, lies on a substantially horizontal plane. Optionally the perforated plate 160? inclined with respect to a horizontal plane, for example by an angular value between 9? and 13 ?.

Such a perforated plate 160? vibrated by a vibrating group of the separating machine 140 itself.

The separating machine 140 also comprises a suction unit 170 connected to the second environment of the separating machine itself by means of the second outlet 155 of the same.

In detail, said suction unit 170 comprises an inlet 175 connected to the second outlet 155 of the separating machine 140, and an outlet 180.

The suction group 170? configured to generate a vacuum at least at the second outlet 155 of the separating machine 140, so as to suck up the portion of the synthetic turf portions of second predetermined size formed by the filaments.

In particular, the suction unit 170? configured to suck up the grass filaments, characterized by their weight between 0.1 g and 0.3 g, and direct them towards the second outlet 155 of the separating machine 140.

The suction group 170 can? comprising, for example, a cyclonic aspirator adapted to separate the filaments of grass sucked in from the rest of the ground synthetic turf.

The plant 10 can? comprising a conveyor 185 configured to convey the synthetic turf leaving the further screen 95 to the separating machine 140. Such conveyor can include a conveyor belt or bucket elevator. Alternatively or in addition to this conveyor, the plant 10 can? comprise a suction unit configured to generate a depression that moves the synthetic turf leaving the further screen towards the separating machine 140. For example, this suction unit could comprise a cyclone aspirator connected to the further screen 95 and to the separating machine 140 .

The plant 10 can? furthermore, it comprises a press 190 equipped with an inlet 195 located downstream of the outlet 180 of the suction unit 170 of the separating machine 140, and an outlet 200.

In detail, the 190? configured to allow the compaction of the synthetic grass filaments leaving the suction unit 170 of the separating machine 140, so as to obtain easily storable and reusable synthetic grass filament bales.

The remaining fragments of portions of synthetic turf of second predetermined size from which the synthetic turf filaments have been sucked, mainly comprise portions of carpet characterized by having a weight between 0.3 g and 3 g.

The 140 separating machine? adapted to convey said carpet portions of second predetermined size towards the first outlet 150 of the separating machine 140 itself.

The plant 10 can? furthermore comprising a means for moving the carpet portions of second predetermined size at the outlet from the separating machine 140. This means can? be a conveyor, for example a conveyor belt 205, located downstream of the separating machine 140, and configured to move the carpet portions of second predetermined size from the first outlet 150 of the separating machine 140 to suitable sorting containers 210. Between said conveyor belt 205 and the sorting containers 210 can? a further means to facilitate the storage of said carpet portions be interposed. This means can? be a further elevator 215, located downstream of the conveyor belt 205 and configured to facilitate the conveyance of said carpet portions directly into the sorting containers 210, for example comprising tubs or bags, avoiding further manual operations.

In the light of the above, the operation of the system 10? the following. A belt of synthetic turf (and / or shapeless portions of it) from which? once the infill has been removed, it is fed at the inlet 20 of the primary grinder 15.

The synthetic turf, ground in portions of first predetermined size by means of the primary grinder 15, is screened through the sieve grid 65 in order to eliminate the plastic dust produced during the grinding.

Part of the dust is also eliminated during transport thanks to the suction unit 60 of the first conveyor 45.

The portions of synthetic turf of the first predetermined size, once the screening is completed, are conveyed into the secondary grinder 80 which grinds them further into portions of a second predetermined size. small compared to the first predetermined measure.

Said portions are again screened through the screening grid 120 of the further screen 95, for the removal of the dust formed during the processing carried out by the secondary grinder 80, before being conveyed to the separating machine 140 which separates the synthetic grass filaments. from the portions of the carpet by vacuuming them, for example inside the cyclone separator. The portions of carpet so? separated, they are conveyed into special sorting containers 210, while the synthetic grass filaments are pressed to allow them to be compacted into bales.

The invention so? conceived? susceptible of numerous modifications and variations, all of which are within the scope of the inventive concept.

Claims (10)

CLAIMS 1. Method for the disposal and recycling of a synthetic turf (1), comprising the following steps: - grinding the synthetic turf in portions of a first predetermined size; - sifting the ground synthetic turf by means of a sieve grid (65); - grinding the synthetic turf which does not cross the said screening grid (65) in portions of a second predetermined measure which? less than the first predetermined measure. Method according to claim 1, comprising the step of screening the ground synthetic turf to the second predetermined extent by means of a screening grid (120). Method according to claim 1 or 2, comprising the step of separating filaments of the synthetic turf from a carpet of the ground synthetic turf to the second predetermined extent, said step comprising the following sub-steps: - place the ground synthetic turf in the second predetermined size above a perforated plate (through holes) placed in vibration, - generate a flow of air that passes through the holes in the plate going from the bottom upwards in such a way as to raise at least part of the ground turf with respect to the perforated plate, - generating, by means of suction, a depression above the perforated plate so as to suck up the filaments of synthetic turf ground in the second predetermined size. 4. Plant (10) for the disposal and recycling of a synthetic turf (1), comprising: - a primary grinder (15), configured to grind the synthetic turf in portions of a first predetermined size, equipped with an inlet (20) into which the synthetic turf enters and an outlet (30) crossed by the portions of the first predetermined measure; - a screen (35), comprising a screening grid (65) and a suction unit (60), and equipped with an inlet (40) for the ground synthetic turf leaving the primary grinder (15), of a first outlet (70) for the synthetic turf that does not pass through the screening grid (65) and of a second outlet (75), connected to the suction unit (60), for the material that passes through the screening grid (65); - a secondary grinder (80), equipped with an inlet (85) located downstream of the first outlet (70) of the screen (35), said secondary grinder (80) being configured to grind the synthetic turf leaving the screen (35 ) in portions of a second predetermined measure which? less than the first predetermined measure. 5. Plant (10) according to claim 4, comprising a further screen (95) equipped with a screening grid (120), a suction unit (60), an inlet (100) for the ground synthetic turf leaving the secondary grinder (80), a first outlet (125) for the synthetic turf that does not pass through the screening grid (120), a second outlet (130), connected to the suction unit (60), for the material that passes through the screening grid (120). 6. Plant (10) according to claim 4 or 5, comprising a separating machine (140) equipped with a box-shaped body, in which an inlet (145) located downstream of the secondary grinder (80), a first outlet (150 ) and a second outlet (155), of a perforated plate (160) which divides an internal volume of the separating machine (140) into two rooms, of which a first room which? placed in communication with a blower unit (165) of the separating machine (140) itself, and a second environment which? in communication with the inlet (145), the first outlet (150) and the second outlet (155), and in which the separating machine (140) comprises a suction unit (170) connected to the second environment by means of the second outlet ( 155). Plant (10) according to claim 6, comprising a press (190) equipped with an inlet (195) located downstream of the suction unit (170) of the separating machine (140). 8. Plant (10) according to claim 4, comprising a conveyor (45) placed downstream of the primary grinder (15) and upstream of the screen (35), said first conveyor (45) being configured to move the ground synthetic turf from the primary grinder (15) to the inlet (40) of the screen (35) and the first conveyor (45) being connected to a suction unit (60). 9. Plant (10) according to claim 5, comprising a further conveyor (105) placed downstream of the secondary grinder (80) and upstream of the further screen (95), said second conveyor (105) being configured to move the mantle synthetic grass ground by the secondary grinder (80) at the inlet (100) of the further screen (95) and being said second conveyor (105) connected to a suction unit (60). 10. Plant (10) according to claims 4 and 5, comprising a filtering unit (135), connected to the suction units (60) of the screen (35) and of the further screen (95) and configured to retain the sucked material from said suction units.
