"Smoking items package with coupon."

The present invention relates to a package of smoking articles provided with coupons and to the corresponding wrapping method and packing machine. In particular, the present invention relates to a rigid package of smoking articles with a hinged lid.

From document WO200015521 a packet of cigarettes provided with coupon is known which comprises a group of cigarettes and a wrapping that wraps the cigarettes and comprises a first portion and a second portion which can be separated from the first portion.

The packet also comprises a container with a hinged lid which is provided with a containment portion, which contains the cigarettes and the wrapping and which comprises an opening from which the cigarettes and the second portion of the wrapping protrude, and a lid which it is hinged to the containment portion and which is movable between a closed position, in which the opening closes, and an open position, in which access to the cigarettes through the opening is allowed.

In particular, at the first opening of the package, the smoker must open the lid of the container and manually remove the second portion of the wrapping so as to be able to access the cigarettes.

The known package also includes a coupon which is arranged in the container and which is fixed to the second portion of the wrapping so that the coupon is extracted when the smoker manually removes the second portion of the wrapping.

However, the removal of the second portion of the wrapping by the smoker can be complicated (for example, if the smoker has particularly large hands) especially with the coupon attached to it.

The purpose of the present invention is to provide a package of smoking items equipped with coupons, and corresponding wrapping method and packing machine, which package is free from the drawback described above and is, at the same time, easy and economical to produce.

The aforesaid object has been achieved by means of a package of smoking articles provided with coupons, and corresponding wrapping method and packing machine, in accordance with the attached claims.

PREFERRED FORMS OF IMPLEMENTATION OF THE INVENTION

With reference to the attached figures, with the numerical reference 1 a package of smoking articles provided with coupon object of the present invention and with the numerical reference 10 a packaging machine for making this package 1 has been generically indicated.

The terminology "smoking items" means items related to the tobacco industry such as cigarettes, cigars, electronic cigarettes or tobacco pieces for heat-not-burn (HNB) items. Generally, a smoking article is a tubular element having a longitudinal development axis.

With reference to Figures 1-5, a first preferred embodiment of the package 1 object of the present invention is described below.

The package 1 comprises a group of smoking articles 2 (preferably having a parallelepiped shape) and a wrapping 4 which wraps the group of smoking articles 2 and which comprises a first portion 40 and a second portion 41 which is separable from the first portion 40 .

The packet 1 further comprises a container 5 comprising: a containment portion 6 which contains the group of smoking articles 2 and the wrapping 4 and which comprises an opening 60 from which the group of smoking articles 2 and the second protrude portion 41 of package 4; a lid 7 which is hinged to the containment portion 6 and which is movable between a closed position A, in which it closes the opening 60, and an open position B, in which access to the smoking articles 2 is allowed through opening 60.

Furthermore, the package 1 comprises a coupon 3 which is arranged (entirely, completely) in the container 5 between the wrapper 4 and the container 5. In particular, this coupon 3 is fixed to the lid 7 of the container 5 and to the second portion 41 of the container. wrapping 4 so that, when the lid 7 is first opened, the second portion 41 of wrapping 4 is at least partially separated from the group of smoking articles 2.

Advantageously, the removal of the second portion 41 of the wrapping 4 will be extremely simple.

With particular reference to Figure 3, the wrapping 4 has a parallelepiped shape and includes: an upper wall 42; a front wall 43; a rear wall 44 opposite and parallel to the front wall 43; a bottom wall 45 opposite and parallel to the top wall 42; a pair of lateral sides 46 which are mutually opposite and parallel.

The wrapping 4 is obtained starting from a sheet of wrapping material 4 'which is wrapped and folded around the group of smoking articles 2. In this regard, the upper wall 42 of the wrapping 4 is made by overlapping several flaps: a flap develops from the anterior wall 43; a flap develops from the posterior wall 44; a pair of flaps each develop from a lateral flank 46 (Figure 3). Similarly, the bottom wall 45 is also made by overlapping several flaps (one which extends from the front wall 43, one from the rear wall 44 and a pair which each develop from a side 46). Furthermore, one of the two sides 46 (in particular, the one not visible in Figure 3) is also made by overlapping two flaps: one that develops from the front wall 43 and one that develops from the rear wall 44.

Preferably, the wrapping 4 is made of a multilayer material comprising an internal layer of paper (in contact with the group of smoking articles 2) and an external layer of aluminum. In other words, wrapping 4 is made of foil.

The second portion 41 of the wrapping 4 is tear-off separable from the first portion 40 of the wrapping 4. This second portion 41 of the wrapping 4 is separated from the rest of the wrapping 4 by means of a previously weakened line 47.

With reference to Figure 3, the second portion 41 of the wrapping 4 extends in correspondence with the front wall 43 and from the upper wall 42 of the wrapping 4 (in this case, the second portion 41 of the wrapping 4 is commonly called in the tobacco sector "Pull"). Furthermore, the second portion 41 also extends in correspondence with the pair of sides 46 of the wrapping 4. In accordance with this embodiment, the second portion 41 of the wrapping 4 is separated from the first portion 40 of the wrapping 4 at the first opening. cover 7 (figure 5). Advantageously, at the first opening of the lid 7 there is the automatic separation (that is, it must not be the smoker who manually separates it) of the second portion 41 of the wrapper 4 from the first portion 40.

The container 5 is of the type with a hinged lid. The container 5 can be obtained by folding and gluing a blank made of cardboard.

In detail, with particular reference to Figures 1 and 2, the containment portion 6 has a substantially rectangular parallelepiped shape oriented according to a predominantly vertical direction of development, is cup-shaped, and has the opening 60 at one of its upper ends . The containment portion 6 comprises a bottom wall 62 opposite the opening 60 (and opposite the bottom wall 45 of the package 4), a front wall 63 and a rear wall 61 opposite and parallel to each other (and respectively opposite to the wall front 43 and rear 44 of package 4), and two side walls 64 opposite and parallel to each other (and opposite to the pair of sides 46 of package 4). Four longitudinal edges are defined between the front wall 63, the rear wall 61 and the side walls 64 of the containment portion 6, while between the front 63, rear 61 and side 64 walls and the bottom wall 62 of the containment portion 6 are four transversal edges defined.

The lid 7 has a substantially rectangular parallelepiped shape, is cup-shaped, and has an open lower end which faces the opening 60 of the containment portion 6 when the lid 7 is in the closed position B. The lid 7 comprises: a front wall 70 opposite the front wall 43 of the wrapper 4 when the lid 7 is in the closed position B; a rear wall 71 opposite and parallel to the front wall 70 of the lid 7 and in correspondence with which the lid 7 is articulated to the containment portion 6 (in correspondence with a relative hinge line); an upper wall 72 transversal to the front wall 70 and to the rear wall 71 of the cover 7 and opposed to the upper wall 42 of the wrapping 4 when the cover 7 is in the closed position B; a pair of side walls 73 which are mutually opposite and parallel. Four longitudinal edges are defined between the front wall 70, the rear wall 71 and the side walls 73 of the lid 7, while four transverse edges are defined between the front 70, rear 71 and side walls 73 and the upper wall 72 of the lid 7. When the lid 7 is in the closed position B (Figures 1 and 2), the front wall 70 of the lid is aligned with the front wall 63 of the containment portion 6, the rear wall 71 of the lid 7 is aligned with the rear wall 61 of the portion 6, the side walls 73 of the lid 7 are aligned with the side walls 64 of the containment portion 6.

With particular reference to Figure 4, the front wall 70 of the lid comprises a portion 70a which is aligned with the front wall 63 of the containment portion 6 and a flap 70b (commonly called "flap") which extends from one end of the portion 70a and which is folded (and preferably glued) against the portion 70a inside the lid 7.

With reference to the embodiment illustrated in Figures 1-5, the coupon 3 is arranged between the package 4 and the front 70, upper 72, rear 71 wall of the lid 7 and between the package 4 and the rear wall 61 of the portion containment 6.

It is understood that in accordance with embodiments not illustrated, the coupon 3 could have a different dimensioning. For example, the coupon 3 could be arranged between the wrapper 4 and the front 70 and upper wall 72 of the lid 7. Or, the coupon 3 could be arranged between the wrapper 4 and the upper 72 and rear 71 of the lid 7 and possibly also between the wrapping 4 and the rear wall 61 of the containment portion 6. Alternatively, for example, the coupon 3 could be arranged between the wrapping 4 and the front wall 70 of the lid 7 (and possibly the upper wall 72 of the lid 7) and the front wall 63 of the containment portion 6.

Coupon 3 can be made of a paper material and / or a plasticized material. Coupon 3 can have a shape, for example, rectangular. Preferably, the coupon 3 is made of a flexible material.

The coupon 3 is fixed to the cover 7 in a separable way. In particular, the coupon 3 is fixed to the lid 7 by means of a repositionable or separable glue; in other words, the coupon 3 can be "peeled" from the lid 7. Alternatively, the coupon 3 could comprise a weakening line along which it could be torn to be removed from the container 5.

With reference to Figures 4 and 5, the coupon 3 is fixed to the flap 70b of the front wall 70 of the lid 7.

Alternatively, the coupon 3 could be fixed to the upper wall 72 of the lid 7 (Figure 6) or it could be fixed both to the front wall 70 of the lid 7 and to the upper wall 72 of the lid 7 (Figure 7). As a further alternative, the coupon 3 could be fixed to the entire front wall 70 of the lid (Figure 8) or to the entire upper wall 72 of the lid 7 (Figure 9).

Preferably, the coupon 3 and the second portion 41 of the wrapper 4 are fixed to each other by means of a permanent glue; in other words, the coupon 3 and the second portion of the wrapper 4 are fixed in a non-removable way to each other.

With further reference to figures 4 and 5, the coupon 3 is fixed to the second portion 41 of the wrapper 4 at the front wall 43 and the upper wall 42 of the wrapper 4.

Alternatively, the coupon 3 can be fixed to the second portion 41 of the wrapper 4 in correspondence with only the upper wall 42 of the wrapper 4 (figure 8) or in correspondence only with the front wall 43 of the wrapper 4 (figure 9).

Therefore, with particular reference to Figure 5, at the first opening of the lid 7 the second portion 41 of the wrapper 4 is separated (torn along the previously weakened line 47) from the first portion 40 allowing access to the group of smoking articles 2; subsequently, the smoker will be able to detach the second portion 41 and the coupon 3 from the lid 7 so as to remove the coupon 3 from the container 5. Therefore, the second portion 41 of the wrapper 4 once separated from the first portion 40 favors the extraction and visibility of the coupon 3 despite the latter being arranged in the rear part of the package 1. Furthermore, the second portion 41 makes the extraction of the coupon 3 simpler and easier.

With reference to Figure 6, all the peculiarities of the package 1 described with reference to Figures 1-5 are valid with the exception of the fact that the coupon 3 is glued to the lid 7 in correspondence with the upper wall 71 of the lid 7.

With reference to figure 7, all the peculiarities of the package 1 described with reference to figures 1-5 are valid, with the exception of the fact that the coupon 3 is glued to the cover 7 in correspondence with the upper wall 71 of the cover 7 and the entire front wall 70 of the cover 7.

With reference to Figure 8, all the peculiarities of the package 1 described with reference to Figures 1-5 are valid with the exception of the fact that the coupon 3 is glued to the lid 7 in correspondence with the entire front wall 70 of the lid 7 and is glued to the second portion 41 of the wrapping 4 in correspondence with the upper wall 42 of the wrapping 4.

With reference to Figure 9, all the peculiarities of the package 1 described with reference to Figures 1-5 are valid with the exception of the fact that the coupon 3 is glued to the lid 7 in correspondence with the upper wall 72 of the lid 7 and is glued to the second portion 41 of package 4 at the front wall 43 of package 4.

With reference to Figures 10 and 11, a further embodiment of the package 1 alternative to those previously described is described below. It is understood that only the differences in the embodiment of the package of Figures 10 and 11 are described below and that, although not explicitly specified, the peculiarities described with reference to the previous embodiments are valid.

With reference to Figure 10, the second portion 41 of the wrapping 4 extends in correspondence with the rear wall 44 and from the upper wall 42 of the wrapping 4. Furthermore, the second portion 41 also extends in correspondence with the pair of sides 46 of the wrapping 4. In detail, the second portion 41 of wrapping 4 is tear-off separable from the first portion 40 of wrapping 4.

In this embodiment, at the first opening of the lid 7, thanks to the fact that the coupon 3 is fixed both to the wrapping 4 and to the lid 7, the second portion 41 of the wrapping 4 is lifted (i.e. removed) from the group of articles from smoke 2. Therefore, the smoker will be able to tear off the second portion 41 of wrapping 4 which is easy to grip and consequently drag the coupon 3 out of the container 5.

In this embodiment, the first portion 40 of the wrapping 4 comprises a further tearable portion 40a (commonly called "pull) which protrudes from the opening 60 of the containment portion 6 and which will be torn off by the smoker after the first opening of the lid 7 (in order to allow easy extraction of the smoking article 2 from the containment portion 6 of the container 5).

With particular reference to Figure 11, the coupon 3 is arranged between the wrapping 4 and the front wall 70, upper 72, rear 71 of the lid 7 and between the wrapping 4 and the rear wall 61 of the containment portion 6.

It is understood that in accordance with embodiments not illustrated, the coupon 3 could have a different dimensioning. For example, the coupon 3 could be arranged between the wrapping 4 and the front 70 and upper 72 (and possibly rear 71) of the lid 7. Alternatively, for example, the coupon 3 could be arranged between the wrapping 4 and the front wall 70 and upper 72 of the lid 7 and between the wrapping 4 and the front wall 63 of the containment portion 6. For example, the coupon 3 could be arranged between the wrapping 4 and the front wall 70, upper 72 and rear 71 of the lid 7. Alternatively, the coupon 3 could be arranged between the wrapper 4 and the rear wall 71 of the lid and the rear wall 61 of the containment portion 6.

With reference to Figure 11, the coupon 3 is fixed to the flap 70b of the front wall 70 of the lid 7.

Alternatively, the coupon 3 could be fixed to the upper wall 72 of the cover 7 (figure 12) or it could be fixed both to the front wall 70 of the cover 7 and to the upper wall 72 of the cover 7 (figure 13) or it could be fixed to the entire front wall 70 of the lid 7 (Figure 14) or it could be fixed to the rear wall 71 of the lid 7 (Figure 15).

With further reference to Figure 11, the coupon 3 is fixed to the second portion 41 of the wrapper 4 at the rear wall 44 and the upper wall 42 of the wrapper 4.

Alternatively, the coupon 3 can be fixed to the second portion 41 of the wrapper 4 at only the rear wall 44 of the wrapper 4 (Figure 14) or only the upper wall 42 of the wrapper 4 (Figure 15).

With reference to figure 12, all the peculiarities of the package 1 described with reference to figures 10-11 are valid except that the coupon 3 is glued to the lid 7 in correspondence with the upper wall 72 of the lid 7. With reference to figure 13 , all the peculiarities of the package 1 described with reference to figures 10-11 are valid with the exception of the fact that the coupon 3 is glued to the lid 7 in correspondence with the upper wall 72 of the lid 7 and the entire front wall 70 of the lid 7.

With reference to Figure 14, all the peculiarities of the package 1 described with reference to Figures 10-11 are valid with the exception of the fact that the coupon 3 is glued to the lid 7 in correspondence with the entire front wall 70 of the lid 7 and is glued to the second portion 41 of the package 4 in correspondence with the rear wall 44 of the package 4.

With reference to figure 15, all the peculiarities of the package 1 described with reference to figures 10-11 are valid with the exception of the fact that the coupon 3 is glued to the lid 7 in correspondence with the rear wall 71 of the lid 7 and is glued to the second portion 41 of wrapping 4 in correspondence with the upper wall 42 of wrapping 4.

With reference to Figure 16, a further embodiment of package 1 alternative to those previously described is described below. It is understood that only the differences in the embodiment of the package of Figure 16 are described below and that, although not explicitly specified, the peculiarities described with reference to the previous embodiments are valid.

With reference to figure 16, the second portion 41 of the wrapper 4 is tear-off separable from the first portion 40 of the wrapper 4. This second portion 41 of the wrapper 4 is separated from the rest of the wrapper 4 by a previously weakened line 47. The second portion 41 of the package 4 extends in correspondence with the front wall 43 and from the upper wall 42 of the package 4. This second portion 41 (as described in detail for the package 1 of figures 1-5) is separated from the first portion 40 of package 4 when the lid 7 is opened for the first time.

The coupon 3 is arranged between the wrapper 4 and the upper wall 72 and the front wall 70 of the lid 7. In detail, the part of the coupon 3 which is arranged between the wrapper 4 and the upper wall 72 of the lid 7 is folded back on itself itself. In accordance with what has been illustrated, the coupon 3 is folded in a serpentine manner; alternatively, it could be rolled up or wrapped around itself. Advantageously, the sizing of the coupon 3 is independent from the sizing (in particular from the height) of the package 1. It is understood that in this embodiment, the coupon 3 could also extend between the wrapping 4 and the front wall 63 of the containment 6.

The coupon 3 is fixed to the cover 7 in a separable way. In particular, the coupon 3 is fixed to the lid 7 by means of a repositionable or separable glue; in other words, the coupon 3 can be "peeled" from the lid 7. Alternatively, the coupon 3 could comprise a weakening line along which it could be torn to be removed from the container 5.

Therefore, at the first opening of the lid 7, the second portion 41 of wrapping 4 will be torn from the first portion 40 of wrapping 4 (allowing access to the group of smoking articles 2) and subsequently the smoker will be able to separate the coupon 3 and the second portion 41 of wrapping 4 from the lid 7.

With reference to Figure 16, the coupon 3 is fixed at the entire front wall 70 of the cover 7. Alternatively, the coupon 3 could be fixed only at the flap 70b of the front wall 70 of the cover 7.

With further reference to Figure 16, the coupon 3 is fixed to the second portion 41 of wrapping 4 at the front wall 43 and the upper wall 42 of the wrapping 4. Alternatively, according to embodiments not shown, the coupon 3 it could be fixed to the second portion 41 of wrapping 4 at only the front wall 43 or only the upper wall 42 of wrapping 4.

With reference to Figure 17, a package 1 object of the present invention is illustrated which is completely similar to that of Figure 16 in which the second portion 41 of the package 4 extends in correspondence with the rear wall 44 and from the upper wall 42 of the package 4 (this wrapping 4 is completely similar to the wrapping 4 described with reference to figures 10 and 11). In addition, the second portion 41 also extends in correspondence with the pair of sides 46 of the wrapping 4. In detail, the second portion 41 of the wrapping 4 is tear-off separable from the first portion 40 of the wrapping 4.

In this embodiment, at the first opening of the lid 7, thanks to the fact that the coupon 3 is fixed both to the wrapping 4 and to the lid 7, the second portion 41 of the wrapping 4 is lifted (i.e. removed) from the group of articles from smoke 2. Therefore, the smoker will be able to tear off the second portion 41 of wrapping 4 which is easy to grip and consequently drag the coupon 3 out of the container 5.

The coupon 3 is arranged and shaped in a completely similar way to that described with reference to the package 1 of Figure 16.

With reference to Figure 17, the coupon 3 is fixed at the flap 70b of the front wall 70 of the cover 7. Alternatively, the coupon 3 could be fixed at the entire front wall 70 of the cover 7.

With further reference to Figure 17, the coupon 3 is fixed to the second portion 41 of wrapping 4 at the upper wall 42 of wrapping 4.

According to the embodiment illustrated in the figures, the package 1 is devoid of a collar. According to a different embodiment not shown, the package 1 comprises a collar, which is fixed (normally by gluing) folded into a "U" shape inside the containment portion 6 of the container 5 to partially protrude from the opening 60 of the portion containment 6 and engage an internal surface of the lid 7 when the lid 7 is in the closed position A. The collar can be provided with closing elements (for example a pair of claws that protrude laterally) to keep the lid 7 stably in the position closing time A.

In the embodiments illustrated in the attached figures, the vertices between the longitudinal and transverse edges of the container 5 are straight; alternatively, the vertices between these longitudinal and / or transverse edges could be rounded or blunt.

The embodiments described here can be combined with each other without departing from the scope of protection of the present invention.

With reference to Figure 18, an embodiment of the packaging machine 10 for making any one of the embodiments of the package 1 described above is described below.

The machine 10 comprises a forming unit (not shown), which forms a group of smoking articles 2, and a first wrapping unit 11 which folds a sheet of wrapping 4 'around the group of smoking articles 2, forming a wrapping 4 which comprises a first portion 40 and a second portion 41 which is separable from the first portion 40.

The first wrapping unit 11 comprises a wrapping wheel 15 which is mounted rotatably around an axis of rotation (preferably horizontal) and has a plurality of pockets 16. The rotation of the wheel 15 around the axis of rotation cyclically advances each pocket 16 along a circular wrapping path and through: an inlet station S1 in which the pocket 16 receives a group of smoking articles 2 which, entering the pocket 16, intercepts a wrapping sheet 4 'which is supplied by a device 17 and folds in a "U" shape around the group of smoking articles 2, folding stations in which the wrapping sheet 4 'is folded around the group of smoking articles 2 to form the package 4, and a station S2 in which the wrapper 4 (and the group of smoking articles 2) leaves the pocket 16.

The machine 10 also comprises a second wrapping unit 12 which is arranged downstream of the first wrapping unit 11 and which folds a blank 5 'around the group of smoking articles 2 and the wrapper 4, forming a container 5 comprising: a containment portion 6 which contains the group of smoking articles 2 and the wrapping 4 and which comprises an opening 60 from which the group of smoking articles 2 and the second portion 41 of the wrapping 4 protrude; a lid 7 which is hinged to the containment portion 6 and which is movable between a closed position A, in which it closes the opening 60, and an open position B, in which access to the smoking articles 2 is allowed through opening 60.

The machine 10 further comprises a feeding device 13 for feeding a coupon 3, which feeding device 13 is arranged between the first wrapping unit 11 and the second wrapping unit 12 to arrange the coupon 3 in the container 5. The second wrapping unit 12 comprises a wrapping wheel 18 which is mounted rotatably around an axis of rotation and has a plurality of pockets 19. The rotation of the wheel 18 around the axis of rotation cyclically advances each pocket 19 along a path of circular wrapping and through: the transfer station S3 in which the pocket 19 receives the wrapper 4 coupled to the coupon 3 which, entering the pocket 19, intercepts a blank 5 'which is supplied by a feeding device 20 and folds to "U" around the wrapping 4 (and the group of smoking articles 2), of the folding stations in which the blank 5 'is folded around the wrapping 4 (and the group of smoking articles 2) to form the count nitor 5 and an output station S4 in which the packet 1 leaves the pocket 19. Obviously, the blank 5 'could be fed to the wheel 18 in a different position with respect to the transfer station S3.

Preferably, the packing machine 10 also comprises a transfer wheel 21 which is arranged between the first wrapping unit 11 and the second wrapping unit 12 and which is mounted rotatably about an axis of rotation and has a plurality of pockets 22 The rotation of the wheel 21 around the axis of rotation cyclically advances each pocket 22 along a circular path and through: the transfer station S2 in which the pocket 22 receives the package 4 which, entering the pocket 22, intercepts a coupon 3 which is provided by the feeding device 13 and wraps around the wrapper 3 (and the group of smoking articles 2) and the transfer station S3 in which the wrapper 4 coupled to the coupon 3 leaves the pocket 22.

Furthermore, the machine 10 comprises gumming means 14 which apply glue to fix the coupon 3 to the second portion 41 of the wrapper 4 and to the lid 7 of the container 5 so that, upon first opening the lid 7, the second portion 41 of the wrapper 4 is at least partially separated from the group of smoking articles 2.

The gumming means 14 can comprise a first gumming device 14a, arranged at the transfer station S2 and which applies glue (preferably permanent) to the second portion 41 of the package 4 or to the coupon 3 to fix the coupon 3 to the second portion 41 of the wrapping 4, and a second gumming device 14b, arranged in correspondence with the transfer station S3 and which applies glue (preferably separable) to the coupon 3 and to the blank 5 'to fix the coupon 3 to the lid 7 of the container 5.

The first gumming device 14a could alternatively be arranged along the periphery of the wheel 15 of the first wrapping unit 11. The second gumming device 14b could alternatively be arranged along the periphery of the wheel 18 of the second wrapping unit 12 or along the periphery of the transfer wheel 21 or at the transfer station S2.

In accordance with a further embodiment of the machine 10, alternative to that illustrated in figure 18, upstream of the second wrapping unit 12 the machine 10 could comprise a device for feeding the coupon 3 and the blank 5 'and fixing means for the coupon 3 to the 5 'blank. In this case, the machine 10 does not include the transfer wheel 21: the transfer station S2 coincides with the transfer station S3.

For the realization of any one of the embodiments of the package 1 described above, a wrapping method is carried out comprising the steps of: forming a group of smoking articles 2; folding a sheet of wrapping 4 'around the group of smoking articles 2 making a wrapping 4 which includes a first portion 40 and a second portion 41 which is separable from the first portion 40; fold a blank 5 'around the group of smoking articles 2 and the wrapping 4, making a container 5 comprising a containment portion 6, which contains the group of smoking articles 2 and the wrapping 4 and which comprises an opening 60 from the which protrudes the group of smoking articles 2 and the second portion 41 of the package 4, and a lid 7 which is hinged to the containment portion 6 and which is movable between a closing position A, in which it closes the opening 60, and an opening position B, in which access to the smoking articles 2 is allowed through the opening 60; place a coupon 3 between the wrapper 4 and the container 5 and fix the coupon 3 to the lid 7 of the container 5 and to the second portion 41 of the wrapper 4 so that, when the lid 7 is first opened, the second portion 41 of the wrapping 4 is at least partially separated from the smoking article group 2.

The aforementioned wrapping method is performed in the packaging machine 10 and, in particular, the steps are provided for: forming the group of smoking articles 2 in the forming unit; create wrapping 4 by folding the wrapping sheet 4 'around the group of smoking items 2 in the first wrapping unit 11; make the container 5 by folding the blank 5 'around the wrapping 4 (and the group of smoking articles 2) in the second wrapping unit 12; arrange the coupon 3 in the container 5, feeding it by means of the feeding device 13 and fasten it, by means of the gumming means 14, to the lid 7 of the container 5 and to the second portion 41 of the wrapper 4 so that, when the lid 7 is first opened, the second portion 41 of wrapping 4 is at least partially separated from the group of smoking articles 2.

Claims (15)

CLAIMS 1. Packet (1) of smoking items (2) with coupon (3), comprising: a group of smoking articles (2); a wrapping (4) which wraps the group of smoking articles (2) and which comprises a first portion (40) and a second portion (41) which is separable from the first portion (40); a container (5) comprising: a containment portion (6) which contains the group of smoking articles (2) and the wrapping (4) and which comprises an opening (60) from which the group of smoking articles ( 2) and the second portion (41) of the wrapping (4); a lid (7) which is hinged to the containment portion (6) and which is movable between a closed position (A), in which it closes the opening (60), and an open position (B), in which it is allowed access to smoking items (2) through the opening (60); a coupon (3) which is placed between the wrapping (4) and the container (5); the package (1) being characterized in that the coupon (3) is fixed to the lid (7) of the container (5) and to the second portion (41) of the wrapper (4) so that, upon first opening the lid ( 7), the second portion (41) of the wrapping (4) is at least partially separated from the group of smoking articles (2). Package (1) according to claim 1, wherein: the wrapping (4) has a parallelepiped shape and includes an upper wall (42), a front wall (43) and a rear wall (44) opposite and parallel to the front wall (43); the lid (7) of the container (5) includes: a front wall (70) opposite the front wall (43) of the wrapping (4) when the lid (7) is in the closed position (A); a rear wall (71) opposite and parallel to the front wall (70) of the lid (7) and in correspondence with which the lid (7) is articulated to the containment portion (6); an upper wall (72) transversal to the front wall (70) and to the rear wall (71) of the lid (7) and opposite the upper wall (42) of the wrapping (4) when the lid (7) is in the closed position (TO). Package (1) according to claim 2, wherein the second portion (41) of the wrapper (4) extends at the front wall (43) and from the upper wall (42) of the wrapper (4) and is separated from the first portion (40) of the wrapping (4) at the first opening of the lid (7). Package (1) according to claim 2, wherein the second portion (41) of the wrapper (4) extends at the rear wall (44) and from the upper wall (42) of the wrapper (4) and is raised when the lid is opened for the first time (7). Package (1) according to any one of claims 2 to 4, wherein the coupon (3) is arranged between the wrapper (4) and at least the upper wall (72) and the rear wall (71) of the lid ( 7). 6. Package (1) according to claim 5, in which the coupon (3) is also arranged between the wrapping (4) and the front wall (70) of the lid (7). Package (1) according to claim 5 or 6, wherein the containing portion (6) of the container (5) comprises a rear wall (61) opposite the rear wall (44) of the wrapping (4) and the coupon (3) is also arranged between the wrapping (4) and the rear wall (61) of the containment portion (6). 8. Package (1) according to any one of claims 2 to 4, in which the coupon (3) is arranged folded on itself between the wrapping (4) and the upper wall (72) of the lid (7). 9. Package (1) according to claim 8, in which the coupon (3) is also arranged between the wrapping (4) and the front wall (70) of the lid (7). Package (1) according to any one of claims 2 to 9, wherein the coupon (3) is fixed to the front wall (70) of the lid (7). Package (1) according to any one of claims 2 to 10, wherein the coupon (3) is fixed to the upper wall (72) of the lid (7). Package (1) according to claim 4, wherein the coupon (3) is fixed to the rear wall (71) of the lid (7). Package (1) according to any one of the preceding claims, wherein the coupon (3) is fixed to the lid (7) in a separable manner. 14. Packing machine (10) for making a package (1) of smoking items (2) provided with coupon (3), comprising: a training unit that forms a group of smoking articles (2); a first wrapping unit (11) which folds a wrapping sheet (4 ') around the group of smoking articles (2) making a wrapping (4) which comprises a first portion (40) and a second portion (41) which it is separable from the first portion (40); a second wrapping unit (12) which is arranged downstream of the first wrapping unit (11) and which folds a blank (5 ') around the group of smoking articles (2) and the wrapping (4) making a container (5) comprising: a containment portion (6) which contains the group of smoking articles (2) and the wrapping (4) and which comprises an opening (60) from which the group of smoking articles (2) protrudes and the second portion (41) of the wrapper (4); a lid (7) which is hinged to the containment portion (6) and which is movable between a closed position (A), in which it closes the opening (60), and an open position (B), in which it is allowed access to smoking items (2) through the opening (60); a feeding device (13) for feeding a coupon (3), which feeding device (13) is arranged between the first wrapping unit (11) and the second wrapping unit (12) to arrange the coupon (3) in the container (5); gumming means (14) which fix the coupon (3) to the second portion (41) of the wrapping (4) and to the lid (7) of the container (5) so that, upon the first opening of the lid (7), the second portion (41) of the wrapping (4) is at least partially separated from the group of smoking articles (2). 15. Wrapping method for making a package (1) of smoking items (2) with coupon (3), comprising the steps of: forming a group of smoking articles (2); fold a sheet of wrapping (4 ') around the group of smoking items (2) creating a wrapping (4) which includes a first portion (40) and a second portion (41) which is separable from the first portion (40); fold a blank (5 ') around the group of smoking articles (2) and the wrapping (4) making a container (5) comprising: a containment portion (6) which contains the group of smoking articles (2) and the wrapping (4) and which comprises an opening (60) from which the group of smoking articles (2) and the second portion (41) of the wrapping (4) protrude; a lid (7) which is hinged to the containment portion (6) and which is movable between a closed position (A), in which it closes the opening (60), and an open position (B), in which it is allowed access to smoking items (2) through the opening (60); place a coupon (3) between the wrapping (4) and the container (5) and fix the coupon (3) to the lid (7) of the container (5) and to the second portion (41) of the wrapping (4) in so that, upon the first opening of the lid (7), the second portion (41) of the wrapping (4) is at least partially separated from the group of smoking articles (2).
