"BARRA STABILIZZATRICE TELESCOPICA A DOPPIO SFILO PARALLELO" "TELESCOPIC STABILIZER BAR WITH DOUBLE PARALLEL EXTENSION"
The object is a structure that can be at the base of any kind of portable ladder and suitable for any use, both professional and non-professional. It can also be applied to scaffolding and scaffolding, although in this report we will only refer to stairs. This structure allows the ladder to have a much wider support base than the width of its uprights. This feature is required to comply with some regulations valid for portable ladders that can reach or exceed a certain height during work. This structure is an integral and inseparable part of the portable ladder, and gives it compliance with some recent safety regulations for portable ladders. In compliance with these regulations, this structure incorporates the support feet of the ladder. Each of the two lateral support feet is fixed to a sliding bar inside the main body of the apparatus, which in turn is firmly fixed with the lateral uprights of the actual staircase. The two sliding bars inside the main body and which have the feet fixed at one end, slide parallel inside the main body, that is, the axes of the two bars are located with respect to the sliding on two parallel planes. This last characteristic which is typical of this object (in the other devices, the axes of the two foot widening bars are on the same plane) makes the difference compared to other similar devices on the market, and allows to have a basic width of the smaller scale during transport and larger during use. Unlike other similar apparatuses, the object of this patent application, due to its characteristics, allows to have solid strength, ease of installation and minimum width during transport, both manually and on vehicles.

DESCRIZIONE DESCRIPTION
At the present time, the equipment of this type that are on the market and that are applied on portable ladders that can reach a certain height and which serve to give the portable ladder a good stability during work, in compliance with some safety regulations in the use of portable ladders, they have sideways widening feet whose lateral sliding axes lie on the same plane (ie they converge or even form a single axis). This arrangement limits the difference between the maximum width of the feet during work and the minimum width of the feet during transport or storage in the warehouse. The main feature of the equipment that we are going to describe instead, makes the feet slide on two axes arranged on parallel planes with respect to the sliding, and can thus increase the difference between maximum width and minimum width. In this way, with the same maximum width during work, it can have a smaller width during transport or storage in the warehouse. Furthermore, unlike similar ones on the market, it can mount a third vertically extendable foot to compensate for any unevenness on the horizontal plane of the support base on the ground. Let us now describe this equipment in its use and its components. In Table 1 Fig. 1 shows a ladder (shortened for illustrative purposes) which at the base has the TELESCOPIC STABILIZER BAR WITH DOUBLE PARALLEL EXTENSION (detail A) in its most compact position, with the support feet that are almost resting on the outer edge of the respective uprights of the staircase (details B in figure 1). This is the condition in which the ladder is in storage in the warehouse or in the transport phase, to occupy as little space as possible. Fig. 2 of Table 1, shows the same ladder in the operational phase, with the support feet of the stabilizer bar (detail A) which are at the greatest distance between them, to give more lateral stability to the ladder.
Nella Tavola 2, la fig. Fig. 3 of the same Table 1 shows the stabilizer bar as a whole and detached from the ladder, with the support feet in the condition of less space (see fig. 1) while fig. 4 (Table 1) shows the bar as a whole but with the support feet in the condition of maximum space (see fig. 2). Let us now examine the "TELESCOPIC STABILIZER BAR WITH DOUBLE PARALLEL PARALLEL" in its components and in its operation. In Table 2, FIG.
5 shows the main body of the TELESCOPIC STABILIZER BAR WITH DOUBLE PARALLEL PARALLEL which from now on we will simply call the Main Body of the Bar and indicated with the abbreviation CB in the tables of the drawings. This Main Body of the Bar is firmly anchored to the two lateral uprights of the staircase (details B of figures 1 and 2 of Table 1) and gives greater solidity to the entire staircase. The Main Body of the Bar shown in fig. 5 of Table 2, is substantially a tubular with a particular shape. It is shown in profile (on a different scale for illustrative purposes) in fig. 6 of Table 2. This tubular is divided into two equal chambers (indications 1 and 2 of fig. 6) and a central partition This tubular has a further lower appendix (detail 3 of fig. 6) which is suitable for stable fixing to the stair risers. Of course, the shapes of the tubular, of the two chambers into which it is divided and of the appendix, are not binding, they can take any shapes and be functional for the same purpose. On the two external vertical faces of the tubular, there are two holes positioned at suitable distances (details 4 of fig. 5 of Table 2). Fig. 7 of Table 2 shows, in perspective, one of the two extendable side feet, while fig. 8 of the same table, shows the same foot seen from above. Figures 9 and 10 of Table 2, with the same criterion, show the other extendable foot of the TELESCOPIC DOUBLE PARALLEL STABILIZER BAR. The two feet, which can be extended laterally, are substantially identical to each other. They differ only in that one of the two (the one represented in Figures 7 and 8 of Table 2), has applied, in its external part, an attachment (detail P of Figures 7 and 8), suitable for receiving a further vertically extendable foot , which is used to position the ladder in a vertical position even when the support base on the ground is not horizontal but inclined. In this case, it is the support base of this third foot that touches the ground instead of the one closest to it. The attachment (detail P of figures 7 and 8) for this further vertically extendable foot can, according to requirements, be present on one foot only, on both or neither. The vertically extendable feet have been in use for some time on stairs not equipped with a stabilizer bar, while only the stabilizer bar object of this patent application also includes the possibility of mounting this additional vertically extendable foot. Returning to describe the feet, spread them laterally (figures 7,8,9 and 10 of table 2), it can be said that each foot is formed by a support base on the ground (detail D of figures 7, 8, 9 and 10 of Table 2) equipped with a final part that has a non-slip shape and built in a material suitable for the same purpose. The base is connected to a vertical upright (detail E of figures 7 and 9) by means of two hinges arranged perpendicularly to each other and which therefore form a cardan joint (detail F of figures 7, 9 and detail L of fig. 9, from Table 2), which allows the base to always remain in any condition, totally resting on the ground. The foot extension bar is connected to the upright in the upper part (detail G of figures 7, 8, 9 and 10). This extension bar, as can be clearly seen in Figures 8 and 10 of Table 2, is not aligned with the center of the upright, but is slightly displaced with respect to it. This allows, when the extension bars are inserted in chambers 1 and 2 (see fig. 6) of the main body of the bar (indication CB figures 5 and 6), to have the feet on the ground, approximately aligned in profile with each other and axis of the Main Body of the Bar (Figures 12, 13, 15 and 16 of Table 3 show this alignment). The shape of the chambers 1 and 2 of the Main Body of the Bar (Figures 5 and 6 of Table 2) and the shape of the extension bar (detail G of Figures 7, 8, 9 and 10 of Table 2) are in such a relationship between them to have the right sliding play for positioning maneuvers. Each of the two sliding bars of the foot (detail G of figures 7, 8, 9 and 10 of Table 2) contain, fixed inside their free end, a ribbon spring (detail H of fig. 11 of Table 2) on which a pin is fixed (detail I of fig.
11 of Table 2). When the sliding bar (detail G of figures 7, 8, 9 and 10) is inserted into one of the internal chambers of the main body of the bar (figures 5 and 6 of table 2) the pin (detail I) which has a rounded shape , squeezes the spring and can slide by sliding on the internal side of the vertical wall of the Main Body of the Bar, to emerge and block the sliding when it is in correspondence with one of the two holes (detail 4 of fig. 5 of Table 1). Scrolling can be resumed simply by pressing with a finger on the pin and continuing the introductory push of the scroll bar G until reaching the other hole (detail 4 of fig. 5). In the drawings shown there are only two holes, one for the closed position and one for the open position in the operating phase. Depending on the needs, these holes can be more than two, for any other intermediate positions to be used in the operational phase or not. All positions, with the system described, are easily reachable. Furthermore, this described system of double extension of the stabilizing feet has several other advantages: first of all, each sliding bar of the foot can exploit, for the extension, the entire length of the Main Body of the Bar (which may or may not coincide with the width of the real scale) as each scroll bar has its own sliding chamber; it follows that with the same maximum opening width, there is the minimum width in the closing phase of the feet (see figures 14 and 16 of Table 3) and in the phase of maximum opening the part of the sliding bar of the foot that remains at the The inside of the Bar Body is greater and therefore the stability of the whole structure is safer (see figures 11 and 13 of Table 3). Furthermore, the two scroll bars are parallel and independent and this allows, in particular working conditions, to extend only one support foot while the other can remain closed or in an intermediate position, as in the case of having to position yourself in a nearby corner. or adjacent to a wall. As mentioned above, the offset of the sliding bar G with respect to the upright E of the foot (see figures 7, 8, 9 and 10 of Table 2) allows to have approximately an alignment of the two support bases of the feet with the axis of the Main Body of the Bar.
