In un separatore per liquidi leggeri la separazione delle sostanze sedimentabili ha luogo entro un dispositivo di separazione grossolana (2) e quella dei liquidi leggeri sopranatanti entro un dispositivo di separazione fine (7) disposto a valle di questo ultimo. Il dispositivo di separazione grossolana è munito di costruzioni interne tramite le quali i liquidi leggeri sono separati già nel dispositivo di separazione grossolana.Le dette costruzioni interne al dispositivo di separazione grossolana (2) sono costituite da un mezzo di coagulazione (5) ed il dispositivo di separazione fine (7) è suddiviso in due vani da una parete immersa (8) o simile, nel secondo vano che si trova, visto nella direzione di flusso, a valle del primo vano essendo disposto almeno un contenitore estraibile atto ad accogliere dei materiali filtranti, quali piastre di materiale espanso, filtri di carbone attivo e simili;In a separator for light liquids the separation of the sedimentable substances takes place within a coarse separation device (2) and that of the supernatant light liquids within a fine separation device (7) arranged downstream of the latter.
