Abstract
Il procedimento consiste nell'immettere i rifiuti urbani, così come raccolti, in un reattore riscaldato dall'esterno e dotato di un mescolatore trattandoli a circa 110°C per circa 40 minuti.Durante un periodo iniziale viene iniettato periodicamente vapore secco onde accelerare il processo di riduzione del prodotto ed il suo riscaldamento.Terminata la fase di riscaldamento, riduzione delle sostanze organiche, carta, residui vegetali, ecc. si opera il vuoto nel reattore per ottenere una rapida essiccazione.Il prodotto secco così ottenuto viene separato nelle sue componenti con mezzi meccanici e manuali.
