Abstract

La presente invenzione si riferisce ad un metodo per monitorare un'area geografica attraverso l'uso di un satellite, ed a un satellite ed a una stazione di controllo adatti a funzionare secondo lo stesso.il monitoraggio di un'area geografica avviene solitamente attraverso l'uso di un satellite che ripetutamente riprende immagini della stessa e le trasmette ad una stazione di controllo.Il metodo oggetto della presente invenzione propone che il satellite riprenda una sequenza di immagini di un'area geografica e le memorizzi al suo interno, e ne trasmetta alla stazione di controllo solo un sottoinsieme, al limite nullo, solo in relazione ad una richiesta proveniente dalla stazione stessa, in modo tale da ottenere un'enorme riduzione della capacità trasmissiva richiesta.
