Abstract

Viene descritto un procedimento per la preparazione di polvere di vetro molto fine ad elevata purezza, in cui polvere di vetro avente una dimensione massima delle particelle ? = 300 ?m viene macinata alla dimensione di particelle desiderata in un mulino con agitazione per mezzo di elementi di macinazione formati da vetro la cui abrasione non danneggia le proprietà della polvere di vetro risultante, in presenza di un liquido di macinazione comprendente acqua o miscele di almeno 50% in peso di acqua e almeno un composto organico contenente ossigeno solubile in acqua avente da 1 a 5 atomi di carbonio nella molecola, la sospensione di macinazione viene quindi congelata, ed il solvente viene successivamente rimosso dalla sospensione di macinazione mediante liofilizzazione. La polvere di vetro può essere preparata con dimensione media delle particelle d50 sino a 0,2 ?m ed è particolarmente adatta come carica per resine sintetiche nel settore dentario.
