Una valvola d'intercettazione, di migliorate sicurezza ed affidabilità di impiego, comprende una cassa, una maniglia angolarmente spostabile tra una posizione di valvola aperta e una posizione di valvola chiusa, un arco fisso solidale alla cassa, avente rispettive estremità libere costituenti arresto di fine corsa per un arco mobile solidale alla maniglia, due catenacci portati dalla maniglia, ciascun catenaccio essendo destinato ad impegnare una rispettiva estremità libera dell'arco fisso quando l'arco mobile è in impegno con l'altra.
