Abstract
L'invenzione fornisce un propellente estrudibile per armi da fuoco avente un contenuto energetico specifico di almeno 1100 kJ/kg e tipicamente superiore a 1200 kJ/kg, ma con ridotta vulnerabilità all'attacco da parte di cariche sagomate, in confronto con i noti propellenti colloidali. Questo risultato viene ottenuto impiegando un prepolimero legante energetico ed un plasticizzante energetico con ridotto contenuto di riempitivo esplosivo. La composizione comprende dal 65 all'85% in peso di riempitivo esplosivo particellare, dal 10 al 30% in peso di un miscuglio di un prepolimero di etere poli(nitrato alchil-sostituito) alchilico con terminazione funzionale ed un agente reticolante, nonché da 1 a 12% in peso di plasticizzante energetico.
