Abstract

A substantially purified tumor-associated antigen is provided from the human breast cell culture fluid, CG-5, from the serum of a patient suffering from breast cancer, and from ascitic fluid from a patient suffering from ovarian cancer. The native antigen which has a molecular weight of approximately 90,000 daltons is present as a high molecular weight complex. Purification and characterization of the antigen as well as nucleotide sequences encoding the 90K antigen are also provided.
