Abstract
Viene descritto un moltiplicatore di frequenza a radiofrequenza comprendente un circuito di controllo automatico di livello. Il moltiplicatore di frequenza è costituito da un MESFET alle microonde usato come amplificatore distorcitore di un segnate di oscillatore, seguito da un filtro passa-banda sintonizzato sull'armonica desiderata.La potenza dell'armonica viene stabilizzata per mezzo di un circuito di controllo posto tra i morsetti di porta e di pozzo del MESFET. Il suddetto circuito di controllo funziona come un controllore ad azionamento diretto (feed-forward) variando la tensione di polarizzazione VDS del MESFET al variare del livello di potenza del segnale di oscillatore, secondo una legge che mantiene costante la potenza trasferita dal MESFET alla armonica selezionata in uscita (Fig. 1).
