Abstract
A temperature (thg) of solutions 23a, 23c heated and concentrated in a generator 3 or 5, an inlet or outlet temperature (tr) of cooled water 21a in an evaporator 1 and an inlet or outlet temperature (tr) of the cooling water 22 fed to a condenser 4 through an absorber 2 are measured. The maximum quantity of heating (Q*) which is permissible in said generator 3 or 5 is calculated using the temperature (thg) of solution 23a, the inlet or outlet temperature (tr) of cooled water 21a and the inlet or outlet temperature (tc) of cooling water 22. The amount of effective heating (Q) in generator 3 or 5 is regulated in such a way as not to exceed the maximum permissible calculated amount of heating (Q*). It is possible to prevent the quantity of heating in generator 3 or 5 from being excessively limited, and to prevent solution 23a recrystallising at outlet 6a from heat exchanger 6. In addition to this the loss of quantities of heat which occurs as a result of the return of the coolant generated 24 to the concentrated solution 23a is prevented. <IMAGE>
