Abstract

I dati digitalizzati relativi alle immagini lineari acquisite vengono confrontati con corrispondenti dati di campioni veri e falsi ed in base al risultato del confronto la banconota in esame viene accettata o scartata.(Rif. Fig. 2).The apparatus (10) comprises a pair of overlapping plates (14-15) defining a compartment (13) for receiving banknotes, organs (16-17) for grasping and dragging banknotes, arrays of light-emitting diodes (26 to 29) to illuminate the banknote in succession and with different wavelength radiation and a solid state sensor (30) (CCD) which receives the linear images resulting from the selective illumination produced by each array of diodes. The digitized data relating to the acquired linear images are compared with corresponding data of true and false samples and based on the result of the comparison, the banknote under examination is accepted or discarded (Ref. Fig. 2).
