Abstract
Process for producing shaped articles, particularly grinding wheels for smoothing wooden, metal, plastic and suchlike products. To make grinding wheels of strong and compact structure capable of withstanding relatively high temperatures without deforming, as occurs frequently in present-day grinding wheels, the process of the invention involves constructing these wheels by winding, in several layers bonded together with glues or adhesives known per se, a fleece 3 of fabric of natural or artificial fibres preimpregnated with conventional foam-generating moulding materials mixed with abrasive grit, which fleece is then dried and placed in the internal cavity 7 of a mould 8 of a type known per se, where this fleece 3 is embedded in the mixed foam-generating material, with abrasive grit, which is injected into this internal cavity 7. <IMAGE>
