Abstract
This device essentially comprises a body (2) which can be fixed to the inlet manifold of the engine and which has a main pipe (3) for the passage of air, whose aperture is controlled by a butterfly valve (4) and in which there is also a by-pass pipe (10), which is capable of placing an area (12) of the main pipe which is upstream of the butterfly valve in communication with an area (13) of the said pipe which is downstream of the valve; the characteristics of the device essentially comprise a heating circuit (16) capable of heating the above-mentioned by-pass pipe, means for fixing (35) the body of the device to the manifold and the particular conformation of the body itself.
