Abstract

Method for avoiding carburising and substitution at production points in rolling billets (6) with the possibility of balancing the work of the fuel reheating furnace, in which it is foreseen to raise the temperature of the billets from a previous temperature on arrival from a continuous casting installation (3) or from a preheating furnace (2) "t" lower than that of rolling "T" in a subsequent rolling installation (6), to a temperature necessary for rolling "T", by means of the use of a continuous induction heater (5) which heats one or more billets at the same time, attached upstream to the said rolling installation (6) (Fig. 1).
