Abstract
The feeder has an oscillating plunger for crushed bio-material e.g cellulose- and lignite-contg. materials, which is supplied by a gravity shaft. The material is precompressed by a worm, and fed into an ante-chamber. The worm (4) is fitted in a rectangular feed tube (2), forming the ante-chamber (12). One chamber wall (8) extends at a tangent to the plunger path. The opposite wall is curved inwardly and merges spirally into the plunger path defining wall.
