Abstract

The continuous twisting head carrying sets of supply bobbins (C), includes a pair of spaced apart straps (G) at each end, forming supports for anti-ballooning guides for the return strand (L'). These extend from end to end of the head and are shaped as open sided tubes (6) which enclose the return strand. Each tube slopes outwards from its anchorage point (3) between the pair of straps to a central part, then slopes inwards again towards the anchorage point at the other end. At these central points, the guides are supported by arms (P,P') projecting outwards in the same plane as the straps.
