Abstract

A pad comprises a unitary member (10) of hemispherical shape with a compressed peripheral continuous margin (11) of reduced thickness to be held between skin folds of the penis as the sole means of retention. The entire pad may be of bleached cellulose wadding, or may have a thin outer layer of flexible porous material comprising nontoxic thermoplastics. The pad may be impregnated with a drug or a test chemical, e.g. an antibiotic or a colour test for urinary conditions. The pad eliminates the need for using special undergarments with pad holding pouches.
