Abstract

A disposable napkin comprises a sheet of impermeable material on which is deposited an absorbent wadding of hydrophilic cotton with absorbent material such as cellulose tissue, or cellulose pulp. The napkin is also provided with a hydrophilic cotton layer over all its inner surface, which is fixed to the impermeable material so that the entire inner layer may be brought into contact with the infant wearer's skin. Cut-away portions may be removed from the lengthwise edges of the napkin. The napkin provides a hydrophilic cotton layer in contact with the child, thus avoiding any allergic reaction which may be set up when using other forms of porous material.
