Abstract

The asynchronous generator, monophase or triphase is particularly for power supply of an electric welding machine. It comprises excitation and voltage supplying windings (UV, U1V1). The terminal of the windings are connected to a set of excitation capacitors (C). At least one supplemental voltage winding (U2, V2) partic. a low voltage winding is provided, for each phase to which there is connected at least one inductor (XCC) for maintaining the short-circuit current. Pref. in a monophase generator two windings (U1, V1, UV) are provided respectively for excitation and constant voltage supplying, whereas in a triphase generator the voltage supplying and excitation windings coincide.
