Abstract
New therapeutic compsns. contain an effective amt. of orgotein (I), i.e. a metalloprotein contg. Cu and Zn present in mammalian erythrocytes and tissues, and an excess by wt. of mannitol (II). Pref. the (II):(I) wt. ratio is pref. 2-10:1. The compsns. are pref. formulated as freeze-dried solns. in ampoules. Specifically claimed ampoules contain 2 mg (I) and 20 mg (II). The compsns. are useful for treating inflammatory disorders, e.g. arthritis. (II) increases and prolongs the antiinflammatory activity of (I).
