Abstract
Hydrocarbon conversion catalysts comprise a porous support contg. 0.01-2 wt. % Pt-gp. metal (I), 0.5 wt. % Co, 0.01-5 wt. % Sn and 0.1-3.5 wt. % halogen. The catalytically active (I), Co and Sn are uniformly dispersed throughout the support. The catalytically active (I) is present as metal; the catalytically active Sn is present in a positive oxidn. state and in particles with a max. dimension of 100 angstroms; and the catalytically active Co is present as metal or in state reducible to the metal under hydrocarbon conversion conditions. The catalyst are esp. useful for gasoline reforming.
