Abstract

In the radio communication system, information derived from a first station are transmitted simultaneously to two or more fixed radio stations that are remote from one another and from the first station. The information signals are modulated at the first station on to one or more of a number of phase-related carrier-frequency signals. The modulated carrier signals are then passed to the fixed transmitter stations, and at each of the transmitter stations are demodulated by local oscillator signals which are arranged to be phase related to the carrier frequency signals. The information signals derived by demodulation at the transmitter stations are phase-related respectively to those at the first station and thus to one another.
