Abstract

The metal window or door frame is assembled from tubular sections formed by strips of plate shaped to the desired profile, being usable for the stationary or moving part. The tubular sections have lengthwise grooves (2) formed in them, and which partly accommodate sealing packing strips (3) running along the grooved portion of the frame. The packing strips have a central lengthwise portion which can be pressed into the grooves, and flanges extending outwards and bearing against the groove surfaces.
