Abstract

This polythiol composition contains: a polythiol compound (A) that has three or more mercapto groups; and a nitrogen containing compound (B) that is obtained by substituting one mercapto group of the polythiol compound (A) with a group that is represented by formula (a) and substituting another mercapto group of the polythiol compound (A) with a hydroxyl group. The peak area of the nitrogen containing compound (B) relative to the peak area of the polythiol compound (A) which is taken as 100 is 3.0 or less as measured by high speed liquid chromatography.
