Abstract

In the present invention an electronic control device for an automobile is provided with a non volatile memory that can electrically erase and write data and as a result of communication using a communication buffer the device acquires programs to be written to the non volatile memory for prescribed sizes. The electronic control device for an automobile receives a program using communication buffers the number of which exceeds the number of communication buffers used by an on board state communication environment.
