Abstract
1. Process for preparing vinyl carbamates of the formula I : see diagramm : EP0104984,P29,F1 in which R1 and R2 , which may be identical or different, denote a hydrogen atom, or a substituted or unsubstituted, saturated or unsaturated aliphatic radical, or alternatively R1 and R2 , together with the carbon atom to which they are attached, form a ring which is saturated or unsaturated and substituted or unsubstituted, R3 and R4 are identical or different and denote a hydrogen atom, an aliphatic or cycloaliphatic radical, substituted or unsubstituted and saturated or unsaturated, the unsaturation occurring on a carbon atom which is not adjacent to the nitrogen atom, a radical or formula see diagramm : EP0104984,P29,F2 in which Y is an alkyl radical, R1 and R2 are defined as above and Z is a hydrocarbon chain containing 2 to 20 carbon atoms, or Z is a hydrocarbon chain consisting of 2 to 20 carbon atoms and containing, in addition, hetero atoms W, W being O, S, NR", each hetero atom being separated from another hetero atom by at least two carbon atoms and R" being a hydrocarbon radical, or Z is a group see diagramm : EP0104984,P29,F3 10, or a substituted or unsubstituted aromatic radical, or alternatively R3 and R4 form, together with the nitrogen atom to which they are attached, a substituted or unsubstituted, saturated or unsaturated heterocycle, R3 and R4 form, together with the nitrogen atom to which they are attached, a heterocycle which is part of a substituted or unsubstituted, saturated or unsaturated fused ring system, R3 and R4 form, together with the nitrogen atom to which they are attached, a heterocycle which contains at least one other hetero atom which is O, S, N or NRx , Rx being a hydrocarbon radical, and/or a nitrogen atom which forms a vinyl carbamate group, R3 and R4 form, together with the nitrogen atom to which they are attached, a ring of formula see diagramm : EP0104984,P29,F4 in which Z, R1 and R2 have the above meaning, R3 and R4 form a piperazine ring together with the nitrogen atom to which they are attached, the two nitrogen atoms of the piperazine ring bearing the group of formula : see diagramm : EP0104984,P29,F5 in which R1 and R2 have the above meaning, which consists in heating an alpha-halogenated carbamate of formula (II) : see diagramm : EP0104984,P30,F1 in which R1 , R2 , R3 and R4 are defined as above and when, in the compound of formula (I), R3 and R4 denote a radical which contains a vinyl carbamate group, the latter is present in the compound of the formula (II) in the form of a saturated carbamate containing a hydrogen atom at the beta-position and X at the alpha-position, X is a halogen atom, at a temperature of between 80 degrees C and 200 degrees C for a period of between a few minutes and several hours.
