Claims (10)

- 11 - WHAT IS CLAIMED IS: C l a i m s
1. Apparatus for reverse osmosis, consisting of semipermeable membranes and of material in connection therewith that promotes drainage, characterized in that at least one tubular membrane is a flattened membrane, preferably a very flat membrane (1), which, at least on both plane surfaces, is in contact with the material (2) promoting drainage and in that the duct (3) for the material to be separated is arranged only in the zone of the flat tube and in that, at the rounded-off tube sides, there are lateral end walls (4a, 4b) .
2. Apparatus according to claim 1, characterized in that the lateral end walls (4a, 4b) also consist of material promoting drainage .
3. Apparatus according to claim 2, characterized in that the material (2, 4a, 4b) promoting drainage and surrounding the flattened tubular membrane is formed in one piece .
4. Apparatus according to one of claims 1 to 3, characterized in that the material promoting drainage is sintered materia?.
5. Apparatus according to one of claims 1 to 4, characterized in that the mat erial promoting drainage consists of a sintered plastic material.

Apparatus according to one of claims 1 to 5 , characterized in that the module consisting of the tubular membrane and the material promoting drainage on both sides (1, 2 or 1,2, 4a, 4b) is surrounded by a housing receiving the permeate, which housing consists of the housing sleeve (5), the housing cover (5a), and the housing bottom (5b), and in that there is a permeate outlet (6) .
7. Apparatas according to claim 6, characterized in that the housing cover (5a) and/or the housing bottom (5b) are arranged separably from the housing sleeve (5) .

Apparatus according to one of claims 1 to 7, characterized in that, with several adjacent tubular membranes (1) in contact on both sides with material promoting drainage (2), there is only one inlet (3) for the introduction of the material to be separated and only one Qutletuor discharging the cpncentrate and HtfSKati partitions (7) are arranged in the cover (5a) and in the bottom (5b) for changing the direction of the introduced material.
