Claims (6)

What is claimed is :
1. An oral palatable pharmaceutical composition in the coacervate form comprising a hydrophil ic colloid of cellulosive material and an effective amount of cholestyramine .
2. . A composition of claim 1 wherein the hydrophil ic colloid of cellulosive material is sel ected from the group consisting of methyl cellulose , ethyl cellulose , sodium carboxymethyl cellulose , hydroxyethyl cellulose and hydroxypropyl cellulose .
3. A composition of claim 2 wherein the hydrophil ic colloid of cellulosive materia l is sodium carboxymethyl cel lulose .
4. . A composition of claim 2 further comprising a water-insoluble dispersing agent .
5. A composition of claim 4 wherein the water- insoluble dispersing agent is selected from the group consisting of corn starch, potato starch and a low substituted carboxymethyl starch of the formula :
6. A composition of claim 5 wherein the water- insoluble dispersing agent is a low substituted carboxymethyl starch and the hydrophil ic colloid of cel lulosive material is sodium carboxymethyl cel lulose . For thfc mpp!tcantt
