Claims (9)
1. Transfer medium comprised of a flexible, thin supporting substrate and an ink layer coated on said substrate and being of the complete transfer type characterized in that said ink layer consists of the dry residue of a solvent blend coated solution/dispersion comprising about 25 to 37 weight ft of a resin of the hard, non-waxy, film-forming type, about 22 to 40 weight % of a first modifier for the resin, and about 25 to 30 weight % of a pigment, such that said ink layer is eradicable from an image surface by forcible adhesive engagement.
2. Transfer medium according to claim 1, characterized that the ink layer in addition contains 15 to 25 weight % of a plasticizer as a second modifier.
3. Transfer medium according to claim 1, characterized in that said first modifier is selected from a group consisting of mineral oils, mixed octyl esters of fatty acids, fatty acid^ esters, and combinations thereof.
4. Transfer medium according to claim 1, characterized in that said resin is a diphenolic based polyamide.
5. Transfer medium according to claim 1, characterized in that the ink layer in addition contains a synthetic wax as an oil migration preventing agent.
6. Transfer medium according to claim 3, characterized in that said fatty acid esters are isopropyl palroltate and butyl stearate.
7. Transfer medium according to claim 1, characterized in that the pigment is selected from the group comprising carbon black ' which are and such organic dyes/ insoluble in said modifier. 42642/2

Transfer medium according to claim 7, characterized in that the ink layer comprises from about 35 to 37 weight % of a hard non-waxy resin, from about 35 to 37 weight % of a modifier to embrittle and harden said resin and or make said resin more adherent for said image surface, from about 24 to 26 weight % of a coloring material selected from the group consisting of carbon black and such organic dyes which are insoluble in the other constituents of the ink layer.

Transfer medium according to claim 2, characterized in that said ink layer comprises from about 25 to 35 weight % of a poly amide resin, from about 22 to 40 weight of mineral oil, from about 15 to 25 weight % of mixed o$tyl esters of fatty acids, and from about 25 to 30 weight § coloring material selected from the group consisting of carbon black and such organic dyes which are ' . Insoluble in the other ink constituents.
