Abstract
1,265,810. Correcting compositions. S. SALA, A. CUNEO, and W. DABISCH. 22 Jan., 1969 [24 Jan., 1968; 14 Dec., 1968], No. 3708/69. Headings C3F and C3P. [Also in Division D2] An ink composition used in a typewriter "ribbon" (see Division D2) comprises: cellulose butyrate acetate, sperm oil, ricinoleic acid, colza oil, oleic acid, ultramarine blue, carbon black, acetone and methyl ethyl ketone. A correcting composition on the same "ribbon" comprises titanium dioxide having an oil absorption of from 30 to 60, a rubbery polymer and a wetting agent, and optionally other ingredients. In the examples the titanium dioxide has an oil absorption of about 40, and the other ingredients are: (1) polyvinyl isobutyl ether, ethylcellulose and lecithin; (2) polyvinyl isobutyl ether, cyclized rubber, and lecithin; (3) butyl rubber, cellulose acetate butyrate and lecithin; (4) chlorosulphonated polyethylene, benzylcellulose and behenic acid; (5) polyvinyl isobutyl ether, ethylcellulose, aluminium behenate and "Bentone" (Registered Trade Mark). All are applied from solution in trichlorethylene.
