Claims (9)
1. A helmet comprising a helmet shell adapted to be positioned over the head of a wearer, said helmet shell having a lower edge, a fastening channel positioned adjacent said edge and extending in a direction around the helmet parallel to said edge and an accessory or accessories adapted to be secured detachably to said helmet shell by said fastening channel, the accessory or accessories being slidable along said channel so as to be adjustable around the lower edge of the shell.
2. The helmet of claim 1 wherein said head engaging means comprises pads, said pads being engaged in said fastening channel in such a manner that said pads are movable longitudinally along aaid fastening channel.
3. The helmet of claim 2 wherein said fastening channel carrying said pad is formed integral with said helmet shell.
