Fig. 1 pictorially illustrates a smokeless barbeque grill, according to one embodiment of the invention.
The device has an enclosure 10 in which is installed a grilling chamber 40. In the grilling chamber 40 is disposed a charcoal barbeque device20, which is movable along rails 22.
The charcoal barbeque device 20 has a door on its bottom side (not seen in this figure), thereby allowing disposing the used charcoal into a garbage can.
The grilling chamber is located at the upper side of the appliance, where it is easily accessible by the user. The grilling chamber is covered with stainless steel or other material in which the oxidation process is reduced. The "missing" side of the grilling chamber allows the user access to the barbeque grill (grilling device) which is disposed inside.
One of the novel features of the invention which is seen in this figure is the fire and sparks barrier 18. 19250 Another novel feature seen in this figure is a blower, the entrance to which is marked by reference numeral 14. The blower, which may be embodied for example by a fan, blows air onto the grilling food disposed on grilling grid 30. The blowing air inflames the fire of the charcoal barbeque device 20.
The blower can also blow air downwards, in order to generate a blowing air wall, which is usable as an insulation air wall to the entrance to the grilling chamber 40.
In order to protect the eyes and face of the user of the device from the heat and fire of charcoal barbeque device 20, a protection glass 42 is disposed on upper side of the entrance to grilling chamber 40, i.e., on the "absent" wall of the chamber.
Preferably, the protection glass 42 is tempered.
A light fixture 24 illuminates the grilling compartment 40.
The enclosure is movable on wheels 28, which allows moving the device to a desired location.
Fig. 2 is a cross-section, schematically illustrating a smokeless barbeque grill, according to one embodiment of the invention. 19250 Enclosure 10 comprises a grilling chamber 40, in which is disposed a charcoal barbeque device 20, having an adjustable grid 30.
The smoke is absorbed by a pump 50 into an air channel.
The cross-section shows the smoke flow through the purification shaft 60.
The first station of the smoke path is a fire and sparks barrier 18. A structure of such a device is illustrated in Figs. 6a and 6b.
The smoke continues through a group of smoke filters 52. Such filters may be an electrostatic filter, activated carbon filter, glass filter, etc.
"An electrostatic precipitator (ESP) is a filtration device that removes fine particles, like dust and smoke, from a flowing gas using the force of an induced electrostatic charge minimally impeding the flow of gases through the unit.
In contrast to wet scrubbers which apply energy directly to the flowing fluid medium, an ESP applies energy only to the particulate matter being collected and therefore is very efficient in its consumption of energy (in the form of electricity).(From Wikipedia) 19250 "Carbon filtering is a method of filtering that uses a bed of activated carbon to remove contaminants and impurities, using chemical adsorption. Each particle/granule of carbon provides a large surface area/pore structure, allowing contaminants the maximum possible exposure to the active sites within the filter media." (From Wikipedia) Glass filter is a filter made of glass fibers, for absorbing dust in the air.
Reference numeral 50 denotes an air pump. Preferably the air pump is disposed at the end of the shaft, before the exit opening 26 thereof.
Reference numeral 42 denotes a protection glass of grilling chamber 40.

The grilling grid device 30 comprises two grids of parallel bars marked by reference numerals 32 and 34. Upon changing the position of one grid relative to the other, the spaces between the bars changes as well. Thus, a user may adjust the spaces between the bars. Reference numeral 36 denotes a handle of the grilling grid device 30. 19250 In other words, the grilling grid 30 comprises two groups of parallel bars in which the position of one group in relation to the other is changeable.
According to one embodiment of the invention, the grilling grid 30 is adapted to allow a user to adjust the spaces.
According to another embodiment of the invention, the space adjustment is controlled as detailed hereinafter.
Each of Figs. 4a and 4b is a side sectional view on a charcoal barbeque device 20, according to one embodiment of the invention.
The difference between these figures is the position of its rotatable vanes 46. In Fig. 4a the space between each two adjacent vanes 46 is smaller than the corresponding space in Fig. 4b. As such, the flames in Fig. 4b are greater than the flames in Fig. 4a, and therefore the heat provided by the arrangement of the vanes in Fig. 4b is greater than the heat generated by the arrangement of the vanes in Fig. 4a.
In other words, the grilling grid 30 comprises two groups of parallel vanes 46 in which the situation of one group in relation to the other is changeable. 19250 Each of Figs. 5a and 5b schematically illustrates a charcoal grill device, according to one embodiment of the invention.
The feature that characterizes this charcoal grill device from the prior art is that the bottom of the device is an openable door 54, which allows the used charcoal inside (not illustrated in these figures) to fall into garbage can 56 upon opening door 54.
In these figures the dashed lines denote hidden lines from the illustrated point of view.
Fig. 6a schematically illustrates a fire and sparks barrier, according to one embodiment of the invention. Fig. 6b is a cross-section thereof.
The fire and sparks barrier, which is marked by reference numeral 18, comprises two rows of parallel bars 38 such that fire and sparks 58 do not enter into the purification shaft (not seen in this figure), but rather meet bars 38.
Fig. 7 is a block diagram of the controlling process of a smokeless barbeque grill, according to one embodiment of the invention.
Thermometer 62 continuously samples the grilling temperature. 19250 The temperature of thermometer 62 reaches to control unit 64, which adjusts one or more of the following devices, in order to bring the temperature to a desired level.
One method of controlling the grilling temperature is by adjusting opening 66 of the bars of grilling grid 30.
An additional or alternative option is adjusting the blowing intensity of blower 12.
An additional or alternative option is adjusting the intensity of pump 50.
For example, firstly the control unit instructs the pump to operate at certain intensity, and then the other devices, i.e., blower 12 and the opening of grid grilling 30, are changed, until reaching the desired grilling temperature. In this way, the user may not only use his own skills, but also grill the food at exactly the desired temperature.
According to a further embodiment of the invention, the smokeless grill comprises programs for grilling the food. For example, grilling the food at a first temperature for an initial period, then grilling the food at a second temperature for a second period, and then utilizing an alarm. This means the user need not watch the food as it is being grilled. 19250 In the figures and/or description herein, the following reference numerals (Reference Signs List) have been mentioned: - numeral 100 denotes a barbeque grill apparatus, according to one embodiment of the invention; - numeral 10 denotes a grill enclosure; - numeral 12 denotes a blower; - numeral 14 denotes an air entrance into blower 12; - numeral 16a denotes an air jet of blower 12, which generates an air barrier; - numeral 16b denotes an air jet of blower 12, which blows onto charcoal barbeque device 20; - numeral 18 denotes a fire and sparks barrier installed in an entrance to a purification shaft 60; - numeral 20 denotes a charcoal barbeque device; - numeral 22 denotes rails of charcoal barbeque device 20; - numeral 24 denotes a light fixture; - numeral 26 denotes an air exit opening of purification shaft 60; - numeral 28 denotes wheels of grill enclosure 10; - numeral 30 denotes a grilling grid of charcoal barbeque device 20; - numeral 32 denotes a first group of parallel bars of grilling grid 30; - numeral 34 denotes a second group of parallel bars of grilling grid 30; - numeral 36 denotes a handle of grilling grid 30; 19250 - numeral 38 denotes bars of the barrier of fire and sparks 18; - numeral 40 denotes a grilling chamber of grill apparatus 100; - numeral 42 denotes a protection glass of grilling chamber 40; - numeral 44 denotes rising smoke (including sparks); - numeral 46 denotes vanes; - numeral 48 denotes charcoal; - numeral 50 denotes a pump; - numeral 52 denotes an air filter which purifies air from smoke; - numeral 54 denotes an openable bottom door of charcoal barbeque device 20; - numeral 56 denotes a garbage can; - numeral 60 denotes a purification shaft; - numeral 62 denotes a thermometer; - numeral 64 denotes a control unit; - numeral 66 denotes a grid opening; - numeral 68 denotes an intensity of blower 12; and - numeral 70 denotes an air pumping intensity.
