Abstract

The present invention provides systems and methods for combatting a threat, the system including a motorized apparatus adapted to hover and hold at least one engagement element, at least one detection element adapted to convey detection data, an apparatus location element adapted to convey system location data, an onboard processor adapted to receive and process the detection data from the at least one detection element and the location data from the at least one apparatus location data element, the processor being configured to output at least one command to the at least one engagement element to inactivate the threat; and at least one communication element, and a ground station for monitoring the motorized apparatus and for receiving data from the at least one communication element.
