Abstract

Apparatus for producing animal feed comprises as shown silos (2) for storing ingredients in granular form and storage tanks (24) for storing ingredients in liquid form. Augers (3) deliver the ingredients to a hopper (4) where they are in turn delivered to a grinder (5) for grinding into powder form. A blower conveyor (9) delivers the ground material to a hopper (12) from where it is metered through a metering means (19) into a mixing tank (18). The liquid ingredients are dispensed into the mixing tank (18) from the tanks (24). Hopper (29) and auger (30) are provided for delivering other ingredients. Water may be delivered through line (27). An agitator is provided in the tank (18) for mixing the ingredients. <IMAGE> [GB2218613A]
