Abstract

Orally active alpha-carboxyarylmethyl-penicillins. N3A. Are prepared by treating 6-aminopenicillanic acid or a salt in an inert solvent with an arylmalonic acid ester. The reaction is carried out at temperatures between 0 and 50 degrees C at a pH 5 to 8. [FR2017293A1]
