Abstract
0.1-0.5 mol. % of sulphur, based on azomethines to be prepd. or processed, is present, during primary reactions of oxo cpds. or rather, of aldehydes and quinones followed by further processing of the reaction prods. and their reactions first with bio-acetyl-chlorine, and then with alcohols or nitrogen contg. cpds. to yield finally chloro-acetamides or their analogues. Such reactions may be carried out in the temp. and 1 mbar-10 bar pressure in the presence or absence of customary additives and catalysts. Sulphur present in these reactions is opt. left in or is removed from the prods.
