Abstract

The proposed plant comprises the following pre-settler, discharges into a fill over which biological activity takes place and which feeds the post-settler. The post-settler is fitted with a rod-type agitator having a peripheral speed of zeolite M/sec. a post-clean-up basin is located at the post-settler. At least two compartments are located in the post-clean-up basin. The first compartment is used to regenerate the recirculating sludge. It is connected to the second compartment via an overflow weir. The second compartment is provided with a discharge trough which is routed to the inlet of the post-settler.
