Abstract

The control equipment enables a number of anodes or groups of anodes each to be supplied with the required current independently of the others. The control equipment may be set manually, or automatically on a continuous basis. In this way stray currents, or in the case of storage tanks, level changes can be compensated for. - In the system anodes or groups of anodes (3) are connected to the D.C. power source through control units. A transistor or thyristor is connected in series with each anode or anode group. The transistor or thyristor are regulated by means of a potentiometer, or continuously, using a reference electrode to produce a signal which is amplified and processed. The supply voltage is controlled by the rectifier unit.
