Abstract

The device, usable in particular in an on-satellite solar panel power production installation, comprises several current sources 10 feeding a load 14 and a regulating device. The latter comprises an error-signal generator delivering a signal which increases with the difference between the reference voltage and the voltage delivered to the load and means of sequential control of make/break switches, each associated with a source, in an order (from the make/break switch of order 1 to the last make/break switch, of order n) determined as a function of the signal. The regulator comprises diodes 32 each interposed between two of the sources, in the order of sequential switching on of the latter, and biased so as to permit the current to flow solely from a source of order i whose make/break switch is in a breakdown mode prohibiting the transfer of power from the said source to the load to an adjacent make/break switch. The make/break switch associated with the source of order 1 at least is non-redundant whereas the make/break switch of order n is redundant.
