Description
The invention relatés to a track including a covering formed of a roe-shaped comer element à,, the upper side of which covering forms a traffic surface extending on the level of the rails of the track, wherein the cover elements, at their edge senes facing the rails of the track, are only supported: on the rails of the track: via interposed elastomer profiles, arranged in the lateral r ecesses of the: rails and supper t i ng the cover elements , while engaging in the lateral recesses of the rails.
The configuration of the mounting of the cover elements forming a traffic surface in a track, of the aforementioned type, ci , for erampie hi) 2004/007842 hi and WO 02/02680 h as well as: AT 010 383 01, offers advantages both for retaining the dynamic properties of the track in the region of the covering and for carrying out structural work required for the maintenance of the track, auch mounting of the cover elaments also having bénéficia,:, properties in terms of achieving a sound-·absorbing behavior of the track. it is an object of the present invention to further improve the properties: relating to the mounting of the cover elements in a track of the initially defined kind by pro longing the service, life of the elastomer profiles via which the cover elements are supported on the rails, and also by preventing the elastic properties of said elastomer profiles from, changing their characteristics over as long a period as possible.
The track according to the invention of the initially defined kind is characterised in that the el ascorer profilée comprise longitudinally stable reinforcing elements that are located in the Interior and/or on the exterior surface r.hereof, extend over the longitudinal extension Of said profiles and are intimately connected with the elastomer material of said profiles, the rigidity of said reinforcing elemen is being higher than that of the clast:oner matériái. Such a configuration will well meat the previously cited objectives. The deformations of the elastomer profiles, which are caused by the loads exerted by the cover elements, can be: smoothed out over their cress seatlone, while at the same time achieving a reduction of the extent of such déformai ions . By smoothing cut the doformatrone, the seating of the cover elements on the elastomer profiles will also he improved, and the homogenisation of the deformations will counteract the formation of local tension peaks, which
might induce structurai fatigue at these points, It can be reached that the elastic behavior of the eins toner profiles will remain largely cons tant over ex sendee periods ado the operational life of these profites, Which is determined by a réduction of the elastic properties and by otter near phenomena, will be prolongedV
