Abstract

The invention relates to a device for locking and unlocking the lid of a money chest which is controlled by a cash register. During use, the money chest is placed on or fixed onto a stationary base piece. The inventive device comprises a bolt which is mounted on the money chest housing and can be moved between a locked and an unlocked position. The device furthermore comprises a locking element, actuated by means of a lock, for moving the bolt. This locking element can also be switched between an active and an inactive position.
