Description

FIELD OF THE INVENTION The present invention relates to a milk filter stocking with a longitudinal suture, preferably of a food grade web, in particular a viscose material.

Such kind of milk filter stockings are known. These are installed in the wires of milking machines. The milk sucked out of the udder is pumped through the milk filter stockings under pressure, and thus the first purification process is carried out immediately after the milking operation, to which the filter material is added by the milk filter stockings. These milk filter stockings are made of food-grade material and suitable viscose webs. They are sewn according to a suitable pattern, such that a longitudinal seam is formed at the edges.

The disadvantage of these known milk filter stockings is that the puncture sites of the suture extend apart, particularly when the stockings are exposed to the pressure of the milk pumped through it. In this case, the seam puncture sites, which are spaced about 2.7 mm apart, form passageways with no filter surface and a diameter of about 1.5 to 2 mm. The edges lying on top of each other at the seam are pulled apart by pulling, leaving a 23mm section free - where there is no filter - and this section is only bridged by a grid formed by the sewing thread.

A known solution to this defect is to weld the longitudinal seam. However, this solution requires the addition of a weldable binder to the filter material in order to carry out the welding process and to select a material suitable for performing the welding. As a result, the production of welded milk filter stockings increases both the material cost and the manufacturing cost.

DE-OS 303667 discloses a process for the large-scale production of milk filter stockings by machine. In doing so, a narrower strip of veil web is laid on a wider strip and glued transversely at defined intervals. The overhanging edges of the wider web are then folded back and glued to the longitudinal edges of the narrower web. The implementation of this solution is rather cumbersome, since the strips have to be precisely aligned and laid on top of each other from the outset.

In addition, machining is costly and special adhesives are used for bonding. Combining a possible longitudinal bond with a transverse suture also significantly increases the cost of manufacture and is cumbersome to execute.

SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION The object of the present invention is to improve the environment of the seam in the sense that it results in a substantial reduction in filter punctures along the seam while keeping the cost of driving at a favorable level.

The object of the present invention has been solved by laying one edge at a given width along the longitudinal seam connecting the edges of the milk filter stocking, overlapping it and forming the longitudinal seam parallel to the two edges in the overlap region.

This extremely simple and, therefore, almost no cost-increasing measure, while maintaining the seam, allows the milk filter stockings to be formed in a filtering quality very similar to that of the welded milk filter stockings.

In a preferred embodiment of the milk filter stockings of the present invention, the longitudinal seam is designed as a zigzag seam.

The invention will now be described in more detail with reference to the exemplary embodiments shown in the accompanying drawings.

Figure 1 shows a milk filter stocking (1) for use in milking machines on which milk is pumped. The milk filter stocking (1) is, as pointed out, made of a web of webs, i.e., a material that allows the milk to pass through while having a filtering effect.

The milk filter stockings (1) are sewn together from a properly cut material. In this process, the lip (3) is driven through the edge (2), such that the drive (5) overlaps. Said overlap (5) is formed in a region (4). Fig. 2 is a sectional view of the seam (4), where the seam (4) is dotted. Figure 3 (4 ') shows a seam that can be formed by a zigzag stitch.

Through this design, the pressure in the milk filter material does not extend to such an extent that a virtually unfiltered free passage surface is formed between the superimposed edges of the seam. This free surface is covered by one of the filter material, namely the edge (3) and the resulting overlap region.

Milk filter stockings made of food grade web material, in particular viscose, provided with a longitudinal seam, characterized in that one edge (3) is sewn along one of the edges (2, 3) along the longitudinal seam (4) at a certain width - 2) overlapping - it is laid on it and the longitudinal groove (4) is formed parallel to both edges (2, 3) in the overlap region (5) formed by overlapping. Milk filter stocking according to claim 1, characterized in that the longitudinal seam (4 ') is formed by a zigzag stitch.
