Abstract

In order to improve the ease in handling and to increase the safety in operation of a fastening device for releasably fastening a handle element (1) to a piece of cooking or serving crockery and having holding members (8, 36, 44) arranged on the piece of cooking or serving crockery which can be brought into mutual frictional engagement, the first holding member arranged on the handle element (1) has at least one lateral extension (2, 3, 4; 28, 3, 30, 31; 41, 42, 43) which does not project into the inner space of the piece of cooking or serving crockery (9) when the handle element (1) is in its fastened state, and the second holding member (8, 36, 44) arranged on the outer side of the piece of cooking or serving crockery (9) has a holding area (5, 6, 7; 39, 40; 45, 46, 47). By twisting over less than 360 , the lateral extension (2, 3, 4; 28, 29, 30, 31; 41, 42, 43) can be brought into frictional engagement with the holding area (5, 6, 7; 39, 40; 45, 46, 47).

Description

The invention relates to an attachment device for releasably attaching handles to cooking or serving utensils, according to the preamble of claim 1.

Such fastening devices have been known for a long time and are used, among other things, so that cooking or serving dishes or their parts can be stored stacked on top of each other or to facilitate their cleaning. At the same time, it must be easy to attach the fastener, as well as to remove it. Simple forms of attachment, such as screw connections, have proven to be durable and stable, but the bends on the screws collect dirt, and when they are removed, they have partially threaded areas with sharp edges that stick out. The use of side-placed covered threaded pins that exert a clamping or wedge effect on the handle of cooking or serving utensils, although it reduces the creation of dirt and the danger due to threaded parts with sharp edges, but as a rule, the handle can only be attached or disassembled with an additional tool. In general, for the purpose of the necessary stability, screw joints have more threads, so that when disassembling or fastening, more revolutions must be made, and in addition, edges must be avoided, in order to avoid damage.

It is easier to manipulate with bayonet joints, which, as a rule, do not have parts of the threads that collect dirt. From the Austrian patent 387 708, a handle is known, which is held in a complicatedly shaped opening of the cover in such a way that the ends of the arresting pin that protrude from the side engage in one part of the cover's surface at the back. When attached, the handle is exposed to steam during food preparation. Contamination in the attachment area cannot be avoided, and due to frequent removal for cleaning, secure attachment and disassembly are jeopardized.

Therefore, the invention set itself the task of improving handling and increasing functional safety with the fastening device according to the preamble of claim 1. The solution to the task is indicated in requirement 1.

Placing the handles on the outside of the cooking or serving utensils prevents the handles from entering the cooking or serving utensils, and thus reduces the accumulation of dirt. Openings with complicated construction are unnecessary. In addition, the handle placed on the outside of the cooking or serving dish can itself serve as a handle, and even with high heating, the temperatures on the outside of the cooking or serving dish are much lower than the temperatures needed to prepare the food. Thus, cooking or serving dishes can be held by the handle placed on them.

The area for attaching the handle can be used when the handle is removed as a storage surface for inverted cooking or serving dishes, and for this, for example, the inverted dome-shaped lid serves as a container. With this holding area, dishes can be stacked on top of each other or packed easily, without risk of damage.

A very cheap and stable handle for cooking or serving dishes consists mainly of an arc-bent wire elastic safety. A self-centering attachment with the handle occurs if the holding area of the second fastener is placed on the inner side of the wire spring retainer, and the side extension of the fastener that is formed on the handle is directed outward and has a generally flat abutting surface and a side that is oblique to that flat. A good fixation is guaranteed, if the first fastener has three side extensions and the wire spring retainer contains three corresponding arcs with respective holding areas. If the three outward-directed lateral extensions with their mostly flat surface together form the base surface of the isolateral triangle, and if the three attachment arcs are placed on the sides of the isolateral triangle, which is slightly larger than the base surface of the adjacent flat surfaces, this gives a guide for the concrete engagement of fasteners into each other, and exact fastening is ensured even at the surface of the manipulation. The three fastening arcs form a secure three-position support when cooking or serving dishes are turned upside down.

The cooling and manipulation of the cooking or serving utensil attachment is improved, the greater its distance from the cooking or serving utensil. This can be achieved with U-shaped components that have wire spring locks and are placed parallel to each other. In the first part, they extend mostly vertically from the cooking and serving dishes, and in the second area that connects to it, after bending to the side, they extend mostly parallel to the surface of the cooking or serving dishes. At the same time, the handle attachment has at least one side extension that is directed inward. Four attachments enable secure fastening already when the handle is turned by 45°. It is inexpensive to produce a fastener that is placed on cooking or serving dishes from the pull-out section, and the three extensions placed on it on the side contribute to the stability of dishes that are placed on that section in an inverted position.

The protection of the holder, which is placed on the handle and has a funnel-shaped cross-section, increases the user's safety. If the retainer guard has a circular flush surface on its lower edge, this further contributes to a play-free fit.

If one or more recesses are placed in the handle in the area of the middle longitudinal axis, functional elements can be placed in them, which can be fixed or removable. As functional elements can be used, for example, a thermometer for controlling the cooking temperature, a hygrometer, a condensation device, a reservoir for liquid, a valve for regulating pressure and overpressure.

By means of an opening inside the surface of the dish, surrounded by a fastener, it is possible to use functional elements, especially a thermometer for controlling the cooking temperature, and which elements extend at least one part of their measuring surface through that opening into the interior of the cooking or serving dishes. At the same time, it is possible to measure the relationship inside the dishes faster and more accurately.

The bevels located on the side extensions of the cookware or serving utensils and/or the holding surfaces of the dishes, by turning the handle relative to the cooking or serving utensils, strengthen the connection and improve safety, possibly with a defined position on the notch, resulting notches or recesses.

The invention is described in the following text using examples of implementation, which show:

The invention is further described by means of exemplary embodiments. In the first embodiment, the handle 1 has three side extensions 2, 3, 4, which extend outward from the central, mostly cylindrical middle part of the handle. These side extensions 2, 3, 4 pass in the attached state of the handle 1 through the arched parts 5, 6, 7, of the wire elastic fuse 8, which is attached to the cooking or serving utensils 9 with flat surfaces that are formed between the arched parts .

The wire elastic fastener 8 forms a fastener for cooking or serving dishes. The arched parts 5, 6, 7 form a holding area for the slanted side 10, which is placed on the side extensions 3, 4, 5 directed outwards and is located opposite the mostly flat surface that adjoins 11.

In the attached state, due to the inclined side 10 and the flat surface that adjoins 11, between the surface of the cooking or serving dishes 9 and the arched parts 5, 6, 7 of the wire elastic fuse, a wedge effect occurs, which, with increased rotation, brings the handle 1 into an elastically connected grip . Due to the arc flow, that is. of the inclined surfaces of parts 5,6,7, the holding force of the holding areas, which is exerted on the side extensions 3,4,5, is determined. In doing so, the elastic connection progressively increases to the position shown in Figure 1, and after further rotation above that position, it decreases again. Alternatively, the curved parts 5, 6, 7 or the side extensions 2, 3, 4 have depressions or elevations that are not shown in the pictures, which lead to defined dividing positions with determined forces. The handle 1 has, on the side opposite the fastener, a generally flat annular surface 12, on which the cooking or serving utensils 9 with the attached handle 1 can be safely placed.

In the area of the middle longitudinal axis of the handle 1, there is a central recess 13 in the form of an axial through hole. In the first embodiment, a mostly cylindrical locking element 14 is placed in that through hole, the lower part of which in the form of a stamp 15 has an annular groove 16 in its edge area. A sealing element 17, eg an 0-ring, is placed in the annular groove 16. With the part located in the middle and cylindrically protruding, the lower part 15 in the form of a stamp passes when the sealing element 17 is closed through an opening 18 in the cooking or serving vessel 9. The movement path of the closing element 14 is limited by a stop, which is formed by narrowing the central recess 13, as well as the upper edge surface of the lower part in the form of a stamp 15. In the position when the locking element 14 is moved up, the inside of the cooking or serving dish 9 comes into contact with the outside part by means of the exit opening 19, which leads laterally from the central recess 13 to the outside and by means of the exit opening 20, which is located in the coaxially placed protection of the holder 21 in the area of the lower surface that adjoins 22.

The locking element 14 is a permanently attached functional element, but alternatively, a removable functional element can also be provided. Such a functional element is shown in Figure 5, which shows the cooking temperature control thermometer 23 in a coaxial arrangement in the central recess 13. The cooking temperature control thermometer 23 has a plate-shaped upper part 24 and a generally cylindrical lower part 25. The lower part 25 extends partially through the opening 18 in the cooking and serving vessel 9, so that the lower surface of the measuring surface of the thermometer for controlling the cooking temperature 23 enters the interior of the cooking or serving vessel 9. In the recess 13, laterally radial parts with notches 27, which in the axial separation position longitudinally move in the grooves both the thermometer for controlling the cooking temperature 23. which can be removed, and the locking element.

The lower part 25 is sealed to the side with the sealing element 17 that surrounds it, which element seals against the annular groove that is formed in the surface that abuts 11 of the handle 1 and against the outer surface of the cooking and serving dishes. In this embodiment, there are no side exit openings either in the adjacent surface 11 or in the adjacent surface 22 of the protection of the holder 21. The elastic connection occurs in the attached state between the slanted side 10 of the side attachment and the arc-bent part of the wire elastic fuse 8, as well as the external the surface of the cooking and serving dishes 9 and the adjacent surface 22 of the protection of the holder 21. The upper surface that adheres 11 has no mechanical contact with the upper surface of the cooking or serving dishes 9, and thus the heat supply between the cooking or serving dishes and the handle 1 is interrupted by air gap and sealing element 17, which avoids further heating of the handle 1.

In the second embodiment shown in Figures 6, 7 and 8, the handle has as a fastener four inwardly directed side extensions 28, 29, 30, 31, which extend on the cylindrical inner wall in a plane that is parallel to the plane that is created by the surface 22 of the protection of the handle 21. The side extensions 28, 29, 30, 31 have flat surfaces that adjoin 32, 33, 34, 35, which can alternatively have a slope, in order to change the elastic joint in a defined manner depending on the rotation of the handle 1.

The cooking and serving utensil fastener consists of a single wire elastic fastener 36, which has two U-shaped parts which are placed parallel to each other and are bent outwards in the upper region. These U-shaped parts extend in the first area 37 vertically from the cooking or serving dish 9 and pass into the second area 39, 40, which extends generally parallel to the surface of the cooking or serving dish. With the other area 39, 40 forming a holding area, the cooking or serving utensil attachment 9 is in elastic contact with one of the abutting surfaces 32, 33, 34, 35 of the handle 1 at the attached handle 1. Thus, the annular abutting surface 22 the handle 21 firmly connected to the outside of the cooking and serving dishes 9. By turning the handle 1 by 45°, this tight connection can be established or loosened.

The third example of execution is shown in figures 9 and 10, where the handle 1 is mostly the same as that shown in figures 6 and 7, with the exception that three extensions 41, 42, 43 arranged symmetrically on the circumference of the circle are provided as fasteners. The lateral extensions 45, 46, 47 form with their lower side the attachment area of the fastener, which always connects elastically to the surface of the lateral extensions 45 when the handle 1 is attached. , 46, 47. Here, as in the second embodiment, there is a mechanical contact - between the surface that fits 22 of the protection of the holder 21 with the outer side of the cooking or serving dishes 9.

Alternatively, the abutting surface 22 has, in the described embodiments, a further seal 49, not shown in the figures, which, in the attached state of the handle 1, establishes between the outer side of the protection of the holder 21 and its inner side a barrier that is impermeable to gas and liquid.

The side extensions 45, 46, 47 give the cooking or serving vessel 9 in the inverted position a safe place to store it in the same way as the other laterally extending areas 39, 40.

Within the center of the pull-out portion 44 is a central opening 48 which is positioned coaxially with the opening 18, wherein the opening 48 has substantially the same shape as the opening 18.

Figures 9 and 10 do not show the central area of the handle 1, and the functional elements shown in Figures 1, 2 and 5 can be placed here in the same way.

Claims (10)
