Description
Technical Field
The present invention relates to a presser for embroidery mounted on a presser bar of a sewing machine, and more particularly, to a presser for embroidery suitable for a sewing machine having a presser mechanism that moves up and down without being interlocked with the up-and-down movement of a needle and maintains a pressing height constant according to the thickness of cloth.
Background
In a conventional embroidery sewing machine, a cloth presser mechanism for pressing a cloth to be embroidered moves up and down at a timing in conjunction with the up-and-down movement of a needle, and moves an embroidery frame when the cloth presser is lifted from a cloth surface (for example, see patent document 1).
By operating the cloth pressing mechanism in this way, the cloth pressing member is lowered to the cloth surface and holds the cloth when the cloth is needled, and if the needle is separated from the cloth, the cloth pressing member is also raised, and the cloth can be smoothly moved.

Disclosure of Invention
Problems to be solved by the invention
On the other hand, in recent years, a sewing machine that automatically adjusts the pressing height of a presser, and in embroidery sewing, the following sewing machine has been proposed: the present invention relates to a cloth pressing mechanism that lowers a cloth presser to a cloth upper surface in accordance with the thickness of a cloth to be embroidered and maintains a pressing height at a proper pressing pressure to such an extent that the pressing height is constant so as not to hinder the movement of the cloth, and not to a cloth pressing mechanism that moves the cloth presser up and down as in the related art.
However, since the bottom surface of the conventional embroidery cloth presser is in flat contact with the cloth as in the presser foot member 4 described in patent document 1, the upper thread is interposed between the bottom surface of the embroidery cloth presser and the cloth, and the movement of the embroidery frame may be hindered.
In addition, fig. 6 shows: when the embroidery frame is moved widely in order to move from a block of a pattern to be sewn to a block of a pattern to be sewn next, the two blocks are tied to each other, and the stitch connecting the upper thread Ta generated on the cloth Ca, that is, the lapping thread, is cut by an automatic thread cutting device not shown, and then, the state of the embroidery cloth presser 1a and the upper thread Ta at the time of sewing is started.
The present invention has been made to solve the above problems, and an object of the present invention is to provide the following embroidery presser: the embroidery frame can be smoothly moved by preventing the upper thread from being clamped with the cloth, and the poor leading-in of the upper thread which is generated when the embroidery frame is greatly moved and the lapping thread of the upper thread is remained on the embroidery surface can be prevented.
Means for solving the problems
In order to solve the above problems, the present invention employs the following configuration as a cloth presser for embroidery: the cloth presser is assembled on a presser bar of a sewing machine and presses cloth for embroidering, and is characterized in that a protrusion for forming a gap for passing an upper thread is provided on the bottom surface of the needle which is in contact with the cloth.
As an embodiment of the embroidery cloth presser, a configuration is adopted in which a plurality of at least 2 or more protrusions are provided, a configuration is adopted in which the protrusions are arranged at predetermined intervals, and a configuration is adopted in which the distal end is a hemispherical shape, a configuration is adopted in which the distal end is a truncated cone shape or a truncated pyramid shape with a circle, respectively.
Effects of the invention
A plurality of protrusions are arranged at a predetermined interval on the bottom surface of an embroidery cloth pressing member of a sewing machine, so that the top ends of the protrusions press and hold a cloth, and an upper thread passes through the protrusions, so that the upper thread is not clamped between the bottom surface of the embroidery cloth pressing member and the cloth.

Detailed Description
Next, the embroidery presser of the present invention will be described with reference to the drawings showing examples.
[ example 1]
In fig. 1, M is a sewing machine, C is cloth, T is upper thread, and W is an embroidery frame.
As shown in fig. 1, the cloth C is held by the embroidery frame W and can be moved in the X-Y direction perpendicular to the vertical movement direction of the needle 2 together with the embroidery frame W by an unillustrated embroidery frame moving device provided in the sewing machine M.
The embroidery cloth presser 1 is attached to the lower end of a presser bar 3 supported by a sewing machine M behind a needle 2 by an attachment screw 4.
As shown in fig. 2 and 3, the upper portion of the embroidery cloth presser 1 is formed as an attachment portion 6 facing the presser bar 3, and is composed of a recess 7 into which the lower end of the presser bar 3 is fitted and inserted, and a screw stopper groove 10 into which an attachment screw 4 screwed into a screw hole 5 of the presser bar 3 is fitted.
The recess 7 is substantially U-shaped in plan view, the fitting surfaces 8g and 8h extend laterally from the mounting surface 9 which comes into contact with the side surface of the plunger 3 when the mounting screw 4 is fastened to form a stable fixed state, and an open portion is formed on the opposite side of the mounting surface 9.
At least one of the fitting surfaces 8g and 8h is slightly inclined, so that the plunger 3 can be easily fitted and inserted from the lateral direction.
In the present embodiment, the fitting surface 8h on the opposite side to the pressing portion 12, i.e., the rear side, is slightly inclined, and extends further laterally than the other fitting surface 8g to form a guide surface for fitting and inserting the push rod 3.
The screw stopper groove 10 is formed by cutting from the side of the mounting portion 6, and extends from the front fitting surface 8g to a position corresponding to the screw hole 5 of the mounting surface 9.
In the present embodiment, the embroidery presser 1 is simply mounted by fitting and inserting the presser bar 3 from the side with the mounting surface 9 of the mounting portion 6 and the surface of the presser bar 3 corresponding to the mounting surface 9 as a flat surface in close contact with each other, but the present invention is not limited to such a mounting structure, and various mounting structures can be adopted.
A pressing portion 12 is provided at a lower end portion of the mounting portion 6 of the embroidery cloth presser 1 via a leg portion 11 extending obliquely forward.
As shown in fig. 3(a), in the pressing portion 12, a needle hole 13 through which the needle 2 is inserted is formed in a slightly curved elongated hole shape, and a plurality of projections 15 are arranged at predetermined intervals on a bottom surface 14 thereof so as to surround the needle hole 13.
In the present embodiment, the plurality of protrusions 15 are arranged at substantially constant predetermined intervals, but the present invention is not limited to such an embodiment and can be appropriately determined. For example, they may be arranged at unequal intervals as in the modified embodiment shown in fig. 3 (b).
The shape of the protrusion 15 has a height that does not sandwich the upper thread as shown in fig. 3(c), and the tip is formed in a hemispherical shape, so that the upper thread can be easily retracted and the cloth can be smoothly moved.
The shape of the projection 15 is not limited to this embodiment, and various attempts can be made within a range in which the surface thread is easily retracted and smooth movement of the cloth is not hindered, such as a circular truncated cone shape or a truncated pyramid shape, by applying a relatively large R to the corner portion around the plane of the tip, as in the other modified embodiment shown in fig. 3 (d).
The number and density of the arranged protrusions 15 can be appropriately determined from the viewpoint of the function of holding the fabric by pressing and the function of securing a gap for withdrawing the upper thread, and if the fabric can be pressed with a gap for passing the upper thread formed between the fabric and the protrusions, the number of the protrusions may be 1 in some cases.
Next, the mode of use and the operational effects of the present embodiment will be described.
First, the embroidery cloth presser 1 of the present embodiment is attached to the presser bar 3, and as shown in fig. 4, the presser bar 3 is fitted into the recess 7, and the mounting screw 4 is screwed into the screw hole 5 of the presser bar 3 by penetrating the screw stopper groove 10 from the back side of the mounting surface 9.
At this time, the embroidery presser 1 does not collide with the front needle 2 because the presser bar 3 is fitted into the concave portion 7 while the rear fitting surface 8h is pushed along the presser bar 3.
Further, since the screw locking groove 10 is provided at the screw-in position extending from the front fitting surface 8g to the mounting surface 9, even in a place where the screw-in position is behind the needle 2 and is difficult to see, the mounting screw 4 can be easily fitted into the screw locking groove 10, and the embroidery cloth 1 can be easily attached and detached by sliding along the screw locking groove 10 without detaching the mounting screw 4.
Next, if the mounting screw 4 is screwed into the screw hole 5 and fastened, the mounting surface 9 and the corresponding surface of the presser bar 3 are in planar contact with each other, and the front-rear direction of the presser bar 3 is restricted by the fitting surfaces 8g and 8h, so that the embroidery cloth presser 1 is stably fixed without rotating or shifting with respect to the presser bar 3.
The cloth C to be embroidered is held by the embroidery frame W and is movably provided to an embroidery frame moving device, not shown, of the sewing machine M.
The needle 2 inserted with the upper thread T is moved up and down, stitches are formed on the surface of the cloth C by the lower thread and the upper thread T guided by a lower pot, looper, or the like of the sewing machine M, not shown, and the embroidery frame moving device is driven in the X-Y direction based on embroidery data or the like, whereby the cloth C held by the embroidery frame W is moved to sew various embroidery patterns.
These structures are the same as those of a general sewing machine, and detailed description thereof is omitted.
As shown in fig. 5, in a state where the embroidery frame W is largely moved to generate a crossover of the upper thread Ta on the cloth Ca, the crossover crosses between the bottom surface 14 of the embroidery presser 1 and the cloth C, but the plurality of protrusions 15 are arranged at predetermined intervals on the bottom surface 14 of the embroidery presser 1 surrounding the needle hole 13, and therefore the tips of the plurality of protrusions 15 press the cloth C, and an interval B is formed between the bottom surface 14 not having the protrusions 15 and the cloth C by the height of the protrusions 15.
Therefore, the overlapping thread of the upper thread T is not sandwiched between the bottom surface 14 and the cloth C, and is drawn in when the stitch is formed through the gap of the plurality of protrusions 15, and does not remain on the cloth C.
In this case, the distance B between the bottom surface 14 and the cloth C, that is, the height of the protrusion 15 is desirably set to be equal to or larger than the diameter of the upper thread T, but even if it is slightly lower than the diameter of the upper thread T, there is no problem as long as it is a height enough to retract the upper thread T.
Since the tip of the protrusion 15 is formed in a hemispherical shape in the present embodiment, the upper thread can be easily retracted and the cloth can be smoothly moved.
Further, the shape of the projection 15 can be variously tried within a range in which the upper thread is easily retracted and smooth movement of the cloth is not hindered, and as shown in fig. 3(d), if the tip is a truncated cone shape or a truncated pyramid shape with a round, the function of pressing the cloth can be improved.
The embroidery presser 1 of the present embodiment is used in a sewing machine having a presser mechanism for lowering the presser to the upper surface of the cloth at all times and keeping the pressing height constant, and does not prevent the smooth movement of the embroidery frame W because the upper thread T is not sandwiched between the cloth C.
In particular, when the embroidery frame W is moved to largely move the stitch position of embroidery, the overlapping thread of the upper thread T is generated on the cloth C, but the upper thread T is not sandwiched between the cloth C and is maintained in a free state, and there is no case where the embroidery sewing position is shifted by being stretched by the upper thread T or the overlapping thread of the upper thread T is not drawn and remains on the embroidery surface, so that a remarkable effect of enabling beautiful and accurate embroidery patterns to be sewn is obtained.
Industrial applicability
The embroidery presser of the present invention can be widely used as a presser of an embroidery sewing machine or a sewing machine having an embroidery sewing function, and is particularly preferably used in a sewing machine having a function of automatically adjusting a pressing height by which the presser is always lowered to a cloth upper surface in accordance with a thickness of a cloth to be embroidered.
