Abstract
The device has a switch contact device (2) consisting of a fixed contact (3) and a movable contact (4) and a melting element consisting of a melting material (7). The melting material is supported by a transmission element (9) before it thermally responds to a trigger temperature being exceeded and is displaced from its holder when the end of the transmission element acting on it exceeds the triggering temperature. A radially protruding flat melting material screen (19) is arranged on the transmission element.
