Abstract

In order to develop further a cardboard folder having a first folder cover and a second folder cover and a securing device with securing tongues and a punched strip, in particular for school use, in such a way that it is less complicated and does not present any new disposal problems, the two folder covers 1, 2 are connected in a foldable manner to a flexible strip 3 of paper, the strip 3 being provided in the longitudinal extent, at least close to its lateral limitations, with a coating of a natural glue or adhesive, by which the connection between the strip 3 and the folder covers 1, 2 can be established; it is advantageous if, in this case, a meltable adhesive, for example a colophony-based glue which can melt under the effect of temperature, is applied in strip form in customary plastics-processing machines to the mutually assigned border regions of the folder covers 1, 2 and/or of the flexible strip 3 and is melted in the welding station, the border regions of the folder covers 1, 2 being adhesively bonded to the flexible strip 3 under the pressure of the welding jaws/rollers. <IMAGE>
