Abstract
The invention relates to a method for removing radioactive metal isotopes, such as, for example, radioactive caesium, by the use of substances binding the metal isotopes or ion-exchanging substances, in that, if necessary, the liquid foodstuff or fodder is brought into a state with a pH value lower than 8, if appropriate slick substances and solids are separated from the liquid, especially by prefiltering or centrifuging, the liquid foodstuff or fodder is allowed to flow through an exchanger column which contains as metal-binding or ion-exchanging substance insoluble Fe4 (III) [FE(II) (CN)6]3 (Prussian Blue) which is freed from dust fractions and which has a grain size of at least 100 microns.
