ία συνεχής μέθοδος δια την παραγωγήν κοβαλαμινών,ήτις περιλαμβάνει την υποβολήν ενός καταλλήλου υγρού θρεπτικού μέσου εις ζύμωσιν υπό κατ' ουσίαν αναεροβίους συνθήκας τη βοηθεία ενός είδους του γένους Propionibacterium, παράγοντος κοβαλαμίνας, εντός μιας πρώτης ζώνης, και υπό ταυτόχρονον προσθήκηνθρεπτικώς ουσιών εις την ζώνην ταύτην, την διαβίβασιν του περιέχοντος τα κύτταρα μέσου εκ της πρώτης ζώνης, εις μίαν δευτέραν ζώνην κατά μίαν τοιαύτην αναλογίαν ώστε η συγκέντρωσις κυττάρων και ο όγκος του μέσου εις την πρώτην ζώνην να διατηρούνται κατ' ουσίαν σταθερά την επαφήν του περιέχοντος τα κύτταρα μέσου εν τη δευτέρα ζώνη, μετά οξυγόνου, και την αφαίρεσιν του περιέχοντος κύτταρα μέσου, τοοποίον περιέχει τας κοβαλαμίνας, εκ της δευτέραςζώνης κατά μίαν τοιαύτην αναλογίαν ώστε η συγκέντρωσις κυττάρων και ο όγκος του μέσου εις την δευτέραν ζώνην να διατηρούνται κατ' ουσίαν σταθερά και είτα την συγκέντρωσιν ή την ανάκτησιν των κοβαλαμινών αίτινες περιέχονται εις το περιέχον κύτταρα μέσον το οποίον αφαιρείται εκ της δευτέρας ζώνης.
